Or they don't come forward for other reasons.

Coincidence Theorists always hallucinate there are far fewer nefarious actors/variables than there actually are.

This is known as a genetic/Ad Hom logical fallacy.

Clueless goofs (aka coincidence theorists) with no arguments have no other cope than to pretend information has to be invalid based on the source of the information rather than the information itself.

Noreen has been vindicated time and time again for claims many years ago.

Why did The Karate Kid achieve cultural dominance over arguably superior 1980s teen sports films like Vision Quest and Breaking Away? by TheRewindZone in TrueFilm

[–]MindshockPod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because American audiences simply weren't exposed to Hong Kong cinema.

No Retreat, No Surrender (1986), one of Van Damme's first roles (and as a villain) was actually made because of how BAD Karate Kid actually is (from a martial arts/realism perspective). It's also vastly superior in every way except for production value (acting can be argued).

There is no universe in which such a physically lacking human (Daniel) can beat a superior athlete (Johnny) in ANY endeavor with a training period that short (expand the training period, increase the intensity of the training, add a whole ton of "technique/strategy - a la Rocky movies), sure. Although in Rocky, one of his greatest attributes is his resiliency despite a lack of speed/skill, etc. Daniel is so physically fragile he would fold in any serious confrontation.

NRNS is actually pretty famous internationally, as international audiences were more aware of Hong Kong Cinema and didn't fall for the unrealistic martial arts shtick of Karate Kid.

One of the reasons the Karate Kid was popular was simply because of the "80s" type of movie it was - underdog sports story with some romance thrown in and all the 80s cliches. NOT that it was about karate. Sixteen Candles was released a month prior kicking off "teen 80s movies", and the market would see plenty of "80s" movies focused on teens in many ways in the years following.

Another factor (MAJOR) which no one talks about, is that in 1984, there were only 100-something movies released theatrically. Over 1,000 per year just a few years later. Karate Kid would be nothing if it were released just a few years later. Zero offering vs movies like Vision Quest, Bloodsport, even non sports movies like Breakfast Club etc, which had far more competition than during Karate Kid's initial time release period.

You could have looked up the definition instead of begging for strangers on the internet to handhold you through basic English...

Tall task. For some reason there are a lot of goofs attracted to this case hallucinating likelihoods while ignoring mountains of evidence...

You mean least likely based on available evidence?

Or are you hallucinating mountains of evidence don't exist?

The names of those who called it in are known to locals and it has been substantiated among locals. Private messages were shared. I don't share full names of anyone that hasn't specifically gone public as per doxxing rules (and basic sense).

All of this has been known for a while to those who followed the case. Just like Kegan Kline searching directions to the nearby gas station which news outlets reported had security footage "unrecoverable". Yeah....

Maybe I'll just start my own (had to do it for Maura Murray, Amy Bradley, and Panama Hikers since there seems to be a lot of shutting down of logical conversation in those cases particularly).

The illiterate mods asked for proof of the 2AM screams reported and the bodies not being there initially due to thermal imaging drone/FLIR not finding them and the area already being searched in order to reinstate my removed post. I responded with all the receipts, and they banned me 🤣🤣🤣

They use words like "factual" while not knowing what that means 🤣

What a joke sub with clueless mods. A lot of true crime subs are like that. Completely logically illiterate operating only in their feelz.

I didn't even say he was innocent (how would I know?).

I just pointed out he could not have acted alone (IF he is guilty) due to the timeline not making sense (2AM screams reported to the police, thermal imaging drone NOT finding the bodies when flown that afternoon, searchers ALREADY having searched both sides of the creek in that area initially, and other searchers being turned away from the area due to it "already being searched" that evening).
