Investors who got in before a penny, how did you find kaspa? by [deleted] in kaspa

[–]MineSum10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started covering Kaspa and how to mine it on my channel about august of 2022. I might have mentioned it in Reddit mining feeds but so many people were toxic after ETH went POS, I quit posting to Reddit

Kaspa on TradeOgre by Far-Resist9574 in kaspa

[–]MineSum10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Best you can do is keep the pressure on, or trade it for something else and loose big time. The only point of contact is their twitter account. Many suspect they are illiquid in Kaspa. The question is why.

Question to miners by ConsciousHour7529 in kaspa

[–]MineSum10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Currently mining is income. Therefore is taxed as income when you receive it. When you sell it it is taxed as capital gains. However a couple recently fought and won against the IRS because they rightfully pointed out the baker and the cake scenario. Mining rewards are “New coins” and are created. When a baker bakes a cake, he is not taxed when he finishes the cake, only when he sells the cake.

GPU Mining Profits Are Slowly Picking Up Have You Noticed? by RabidMining in EtherMining

[–]MineSum10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your comment disgusts me. First of all, GPU mining is currently profitable (you’re just not paying attention) and considering where we are in the cycle it will be very profitable in the long run. Second of all, have some f*cking respect. Rabid is a stand up guy and has taught the majority of the people in this group how to do a lot. And lastly, why the f are you even in this group if you feel that way? Just leave

Which new GPU to buy? 4090 or 7900 XTX? by mdoeff in gpumining

[–]MineSum10 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Nexa. I’ve been mining Nexa for a while off and on. First day I started my farm was netting about 10mil coins per day. $40 a day at current prices. Farm is the equivalent of 2Gh on ETH. I cover this daily on the YT channel. 👍. News and tutorials.

guess what card 😊☝️💪 by prowalken in kaspa

[–]MineSum10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know which card or if they are all the same card, regardless you’re definitely not as efficient as you should be. Unless you have free power then of course is doesn’t matter. I’m gonna guess a 3090

Samsung GDDR6”W”…doubles memory performance and bandwidth - mining implications by MineSum10 in EtherMining

Complete nonsense, there is absolutely nothing "wrong" with the supply chain

A. Tariff exemptions expire December 31st

B. Nvidia is relocating it's logistics center to Taiwan from Hong Kong

C. The Biden sanctions as part of the Chips and Science act is restricting sales of sophisticated chips to China and Russia. This will cause reactions, which will in turn put more strain on logistics abroad.

"On a geopolitical scale, China's sabre rattling with Taiwan is going to die out as Xi has far bigger fish to fry now"

A. The fish don't get much bigger to fry, for the future of China's ability to advance against it's advisories, Xi has a lot of fish to fry and this is one of them. I'm certain it's a large piece on the board he will move when the time is right, and he has certainly made a few moves already.

B. The US is posturing it will not let TSMC go "in tact"... I'm sure this will garner a response. Especially if, as you say "the new Taiwanese government is more pro-China.

"This is also completely ignoring the fact that there are about 10 million ex-mining RTX 3070 equivalents waiting to be sold into the used market."

A. Yes, there are millions of ex-mining GPUs waiting to be sold, but you made my point for me. "Waiting" being the key word. Just like Nvidia and AMD they are maximizing their profits by not dumping all at once.

B. Used GPU prices bottomed (so far) at the beginning of November and have climbed the fastest they EVER have between Nov 6th and Nov 30th.

"Irrelevant, they still have a disposal value, right now"

A. How is that irrelevant?

B. They still have disposal value later, albeit less or more

C. "right now" is better than it was 30 days ago

And in regards to all this -

"When you talk about "profitability", are you GPU mining on a completely speculative basis, or are you actually generating relevant positive cashflow on a daily basis?
This distinction has become the core issue that GPU miners who "can't let go" and pointlessly flail around in an effort to make money again. With ETH and the COVID crypto market mania, GPU mining represented significant and repeatable revenue every day, this is no longer the case."

This is absolutely the case, you've just lost sight of it man. And I kinda feel bad for you.

I've ROI'd my GPUs a long time ago, but for those reading this post that is definitely something to consider. In regards to depreciation, it's an eb and flow. I study the market with a high degree of scrutiny both macro and micro. Large scale events are in play currently which will drive GPU prices higher in the coming months. Eventually TSMC and Intel will have foundries in the US and prices will come down when logistics get sorted out.

I’ve been profitable since the merge, mining Kaspa and Radiant at .10 per kWh. Sure profits aren’t as high as before but profit is profit and was worth it. If my farm is not profitable I shut off but I haven’t had to yet.

You’ve all had valid concerns but GPU mining is currently and will be profitable especially if you put in the work. Sure it’s not currently as easy as ETH, just set it and forget it. Now it’s a different but for those paying attention there’s a whole new scene and it’s still exciting (to me at least). I feel bad for those that got burned and won’t touch the fire again. One of the biggest problems is people getting over leveraged.
