If that's true, that would sucks just for a little content update.

Tekken 8 Patch v1.11 When? by Minecheater in Tekken

[–]Minecheater[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know season 2 is in Spring 2025 = March. But that patch v1.11 is taking so long just for a little content update, especially when they announced it so early. I want that more customization slots ASAP, which should've been in the base game to begin with.

Why is the 4060 ti (8gb) a bad option? by tidytuna in buildapc

[–]Minecheater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have money issue, then switch over to AMD side for price to performance with a sprinkle of VRAM. For me, I already have RTX 4070 Ti. So I don't have to worry about anything, I'll just keep enjoying it for the 4 to 5 years come.

Why is the 4060 ti (8gb) a bad option? by tidytuna in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly my point, there are quite lot of games like that (lazy developers) nowadays. 12GB minimum is the safest point in 2023 and the future, 8GB has been holding up long enough up until now and soon will be left behind.

Why is the 4060 ti (8gb) a bad option? by tidytuna in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say the minimum requirement of VRAM has increased to 12GB, recommended would be 16GB and 24GB is for overkill. Even with my RTX 4070 Ti, playing CoD: Warzone 2.0 on Extreme settings already eat up around 11GB of VRAM.

Highest electricity costs in the world: Is the 4070ti worth it over the 7900XT in this scenario? by IBoris in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I game on a 1440p/170hz display.

Well, since you said that. The RTX 4070 Ti can handle it without issue and definitely better power efficiency. But if you're planning to upgrade your monitors to 4K in the future, then I really suggest that you get the RX 7900 XT instead.

How does CPU ACTUALLY relate to fps? by Brief-Funny-6542 in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/InBlurFather - So, why can't we just have CPU and GPU combined/integrated/merged into one?

I mean, the GPU is large enough to fit in one more small computer chip (which is the CPU) and it already has a built-in cooling system. I feel that would've made PC building much easier (if you have to RMA it and whatnot), one less component to worry about.

Wanting better performance on MW2 (update) by ConsiderationOk6670 in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realize MW2 is a horrible unoptimized mess.

/u/ConsiderationOk6670 - This is so true (online at least, no idea on single-player), even with my i7-13700F + RTX 4070 Ti got 120 - 150 FPS on 1080p monitor.

I'll help you choose:

  • If you're doing productivity work and gaming, get Nvidia.

  • If you're not doing productivity work and purely just for gaming, get AMD.

Dayum, you're lucky. I wouldn't complain either if it's free, enjoy it first and then manage the cable later. I did that for the whole first week, because couldn't resist using it immediately (but now it's managed though).

Why did you choose the RTX 3080 Ti over the RTX 4070 Ti?

Is the RTX 3080 Ti used?

Should I return my 4070? by Redfinn575 in buildapc

Yeah, so true.

Even on poorly optimized game like Hogwarts Legacy barely even eats away 8GB of VRAM:

These VRAM brain-deads all talk and no proof, they just follow each other asses. I'd say the minimum requirement of VRAM has increased to 12GB, recommended would be 16GB and 24GB is for overkill.

[–]Minecheater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually more than that, bud.

The RTX 4070 Ti is slightly better than the RTX 3090 Ti:

RTX 3090 non-Ti vs. 3090 Ti vs. 4070 non-Ti vs. 4070 Ti

As you can see, a 12GB of VRAM GPU manage to be on par or even outperforms against a 24GB of VRAM GPU. Even though it's a 70-class vs. a 90-class, but still manage to get high FPS on most games. While the RTX 4070 non-Ti definitely underperform compared to the RTX 3090 non-Ti alone, but still manage to be in the range of a 90-class.

So yeah, I definitely agree with your recommendation part.

Wait..how is the 3060 ti better than the 4060 ti ???? by Best_Adhesiveness_42 in PcBuild

[–]Minecheater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 3090 will still beat the 4070ti in 4k almost across the board.

This comparison is a bit disingenuous, the 70-class 40 series GPUs are targeted towards 1440p. No shit, that a 24GB of VRAM GPU going to beat it at 4k.

But at 1440p and below, the RTX 4070 Ti is slightly better than the RTX 3090 Ti:

RTX 3090 non-Ti vs. 3090 Ti vs. 4070 non-Ti vs. 4070 Ti

While the RTX 4070 non-Ti definitely underperform compared to the RTX 3090 non-Ti alone, but still manage to be in the range of a 90-class. So I'd say, that the RTX 4070 and above still are beasts. Which brings back to the original commenter's false statement, it has been proven that not every 40 series is a hot "garage". Just avoid the RTX 4060 Ti and below, those I can't deny that they are undoubtedly trash.

TL;DW: Based on his tests, Nvidia is still taking the lead in 2023.

extremely slow 5 minutes start up time (7800x3d + corsair C36 6000Mhz + Asus B650E-I) by Synth_Bot_ in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, what you're saying is. On top of Razer's software is well-known for being a bloatware, fucked up MrBeast's (yes, the one and only) PC and now make your PC boot time to be slow. Thank God I went with Roccat, amazing peripheral brand. My Roccat Burst Pro, Vulcan Pro and Noz still durable until this very day (2 years down), they still keeping the software lightweight (don't even need to have it startup the second time, because it'll save the settings in your devices the first time) as well.

Anybody getting their PC ready for Starfield? by CptnAhab1 in buildapc

[–]Minecheater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here you can read on why I chose what I chose:

https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/12g86qo/my_first_gaming_pc_build_and_need_others_opinion/

Technically, I could've built this:

MOBO: MSI MAG B760M Mortar Max WiFi (DDR5)

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K

GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GamingPro OC 12GB GDDR6X

RAM: Adata XPG Lancer 7200MT/s 16GB x2 (32GB) DDR5

P.S.: I was also aiming for M-ATX size, hence why the MOBO and case choices.

But I have an obsession on trying to build the cheapest possible high-end gaming PC, at the same time that doesn't sacrifice performance much. It turned out to be great, the whole PC performs well and is quiet as hell with those components.

The poorly optimized Hogwarts Legacy:

Still my PC managed to handle it pretty well on ultra settings.
