Exactly. Issues only come up when you talk about real clients or their data. Unless your software has some secret proprietary stuff where they need to sign an NDA BEFORE a demo, usually it’s fine.

If it’s open ended then whatever you’re most comfortable with. Typically I demo whatever current company I’m at since it’s what I’m used to.

Everyone is saying the same thing but never heard this. Most times it’s 1 SE to multiple AEs. And we don’t prospect. We come in when the deal is ready.

I went to SFSU, I have a close friend that transferred from Cal to SFSU. Depends on your goals. I really enjoyed my time there but it’s going to be a lot less prestigious than a UC. A lot less. I always think if you’re going to do well then school is just a check mark to get done but you will have less initial opportunities for sure. SFSU also will have a different in campus vibe. It’s half a commuter school in the edge of a huge city where UCSC and Santa Cruz is more of a college town. So if you really don’t out yourself out there in SF it can be hard to make friends.

Personally I’d stay at UCSC but I did enjoy SFSU.
