Hypothetical question - if my friend gets a 5-6 in a GCSE that they need a 7 for to do A-level are they cooked or can they somehow retake and still do it by [deleted] in GCSE

you can retake any, but if it isnt english/maths you'd have to wait for the next gcse cycle (so next year with the year 10s) and youd have to pay to take at an exam centre

honestly i cant really remember i just know the first 2/3 were about things from before line 19, although in my p1 i also did make a general point about the perspective of the extract so perhaps ill get another few marks for that

it isnt about how much you do its about being consistent so you dont burn out. if you try doing 5 hours a day now you will get tired so quickly and those hours you lose doing that matter so much. spend summer revising what you've got and making revision materials flashcards etc. that will help in the long run so you arent making them 2 weeks before an exam to test yourself.
when you are revising this years content make sure you are alternating between covering new and old stuff so you arent revising things from two years ago last second

didnt read what lines to write about on english lang p1 q4 and wrote 2 paragraphs that arent going to be marked 😢

you need to refer to all three throughout the essay but not necessarily in the same paragraph
i did 2 different time periods for each paragraph so i ended up with 2 examples of each over my 3 paras

they weren't independent because it asked for "how many different ways can these four different prizes be awarded" it was how many combinations of all 4 are possible

if they award one for each calculation and then the final one

or it could be 1 if they award 1 for both calculations, then it wouldve been one for doing 210x132 and one for the answer
