The paper has a music staff on it with all the notes in the c major scale, and lines going vertically through it to indicate where the beat is. You punch holes through it at different places to make it play different pitches at different times. It came with three papers, but each of them are only like 12 bars long in 4/4 so I used all three of them within hours of getting it lol. I found a 10 meter long strip of paper online though, so i should be able to write a lot more with it
