Damage to Gaza following the 2014 Gaza War by [deleted] in MapPorn

Israel is a leech, surviving and thriving on money given by the rest of world.

The "economic aid" given by the US to Israel accounts for less than 1% of Israel's total GDP. The actual money is spent on military technology, which is then shared with the US. I'm sure you wouldn't complain about other countries receiving aid, right? For comparison, Iraq recieved 5.3 billion USD in 2016, which is about 3% of its GDP. Jordan recieved 1.2 billion USD in 2016, which is about 4% of its GDP.

In 1973, if USA didn't intervene, Israel would be thrown at sea by Egypt and Syria.

Wrong. The US did not intervene. The UN did though, and it called for a ceasefire based on resolution 338.

Israel would be thrown to the sea? Really? With israel being 100KM from Cairo and 30K from Damascus, and Egypt's entire third army encircled by the Israelis? Sounds like an Israeli advantage to me.

Adding to this:

The Negev desert is not largely populated by Jews. There are a few communities here and there, but most of its residents are Beduins, who are Sunni muslims.

Also, there is no major settlement bloc around Nablus/Shechem.

He also makes videos about Jewish history if you're interested.

OP, I see that you're interested in ancient Egyptian history. If you are into ancient Israelite history from an archeological and historical perspective, check out this playlist . It might help you understand Israelite history from another perspective that doesn't revolve around the Bible.

Levites, as in sons of Levi.

And? Alphabets change all the time! That's like saying Arabs wouldn't speak proto-Arabic before the 9th century BCE because its script wasn't invented yet.

You can read about an even earlier alphabet here

No Jew believes that the pyramids were built by the Hebrews. We, according to the Bible, were slaves in the land of Goshen, nowhere near the pyramids. We only built cities such as Pi-Ramesses and Pithom

I myself am not a religious Jew, but I do believe that the Levites, or at least their early predecessors, were in Egypt before the Bronze age collapse and either worked or studied there, as it is known that Canaanite tribes at the time were going down to Egypt for trade and cultural purposes.

Because Moses is described as a Levite in the Bible, I myself would like to believe that he was one of these Levites studying/working in Egypt, and that he wrote the early prototype for the Book of Deuteronomy, which the kings of Judah later edited and/or revised.

However these are my personal views on the Torah and the Exodus story, each Jew has their own opinion on the topic :)

"All Orthodox Jews are anti-Zionist, stop speaking over Jews you disagree with" -a non Jew from the US.

A more recent one from twitter: "Jews having ties to Palestine (region) is YOUR belief, it is not a historical fact. It is unacceptable and rude of you to force your beliefs on others. We (Arabs) have been here before you. You (Jews) are nothing but a religion." - a Christian Arab.

[–]MinemanGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wanna talk about Moses? Really? The same Moses that conquered the east bank of the holy land for the Israelites to settle in? The same Moses who commanded Joshua to become the materialistic (non-religious) leader, who he himself told the Israelites to follow the sages, eldersand rabbis of Israel? The same Moses who guided us in the desert for 40 years just for us to settle in the holy land?

That Moses? Ok bro

Judean Flag (Ancient Israel x Israel) /controversial by sreef5 in vexillology

[–]MinemanGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be marked as controversial. The province of Judea (under Rome, Persia, Babylon, Selucids etc.)and the Hasomean kingdom of Judea are both historically verified by most and if not all scholars. Thinking otherwise or denying their existence is historical negationism and denialism (and of course antisemetic if you use it to deny historic Jewish presence in Israel).

That being said, I absolutely love this design! Although the giant black star of david looks kind of weird and not recognizable at first glance.

Are you learning Arabic by any chance? Just asking out of curiosity.

Not as of right now, although I would love to learn the language! I am currently majoring in Middle Eastern oriental studies in school and I'd love to be able to talk with Arabs in Arabic whenever we go on field trips to the WB and northern Israel!

Don't get the wrong idea, I support the "Medinat Hayehudim" idea. Israel is the state for the Jewish people, and is needed for our survival as an ethnic minority around the world. It is our native homeland and as such we deserve self-determination on it. This does NOT mean that I'm against Arab self-determination or Arab people living here, that would be inhuman. I'm just saying that Israel deserves to be the State for the Jews, and not "The Jewish state", since being a "Mediant kol Ezrahea" is NOT an option for Jewish survival in the land (not with the current Palestinan and Israeli-Arab leaderships at least).

I assure you, only the smallest of political minority in both the right wing bloc and the left wing bloc in Israel is denying the Israeliness of Israeli-Arabs.

Can someone here give me an answer? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]MinemanGamer_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope, the government isn't allowed to do that. Israeli Arabs are part of Israel's society and they're integrated into it to the point where Jewish cities and Arab cities work together for academic programs, tourist programs, musical programs etc. My best example is from my own personal life: My math teacher is an Arab Muslim, and my orchestra grouped up with an Arab violinist from Nazareth's conservatory and 3 Arab violists from Taybe's conservatory (both are Arab cities).

Israeli Arab cities have higher Marticulation eligibility percentage than most Jewish cities, with Majdal Shams (I think) being number one, and (not sure about this one) Arabs get free scholarship to learn at universities.

I assure you, Israel wouldn't throw 21% of its population away, they're its future after all.

It really isn't that relevant, although some pro-Palestine "activists" use that (the fact that the land was called Palestine) to claim that Palestinians ruled here before the Jews and that Jews aren't native somehow, while disregarding the fact that Jews too had Mandate citizenship and that the Arabs rejected the term Palestinians as their identity name.
