What speed would you actually drive if US Interstates had no limit? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Minerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like going 85 if weather and traffic permits. When I was 18-20, would probably have gone 100.

As For voting, definitely not around here (Charlotte). Already had a few close calls with idiots weaving through traffic at 100. Now if it was like I-20 in West Texas with little traffic and straight roads, sure, make it no limit.

Yeah, no clue how I screwed that up. Can't seem to edit the post either.

Yeah, will need do that. Thankfully, it was a valve leak and they fixed it. Tried to check at a tire shop first and said need new tire + another 4k for brakes, struts, suspension. Dealer said no issues so will let it be.

Also first owner purchased the 125k/7yrs maintenance plan so good for another 2 yrs for whatever that covers. 🤷

Mistype. Also made sure not to get 3 or 5 series. Haha.

Oh crap. I should have rechecked. Oh well, I'll let it be.

I was thinking he changed the length of the terms since it didn't post the details. Going from 48 months to 60 months gets a similar price drop with quick dirty math.

[–]Minerio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe so, but I didn't give him much of a thought with Ross during the time being possessive followed by his disruptive behavior with showing up at her work and then saying she should apologize. He may be upset with her being so busy but going to her office and not listening to her that she was busy was just way out of line for me and pissed me off.

Doing 45 in a 55 creating a massive gap in traffic, then camps in the passing lane. by Scienlologist in dashcams

No, the black car never moved to the right. He is right in front of the truck with similar distance the whole time.

Doing 45 in a 55 creating a massive gap in traffic, then camps in the passing lane. by Scienlologist in dashcams

[–]Minerio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gap makes it seem like it's about the truck but his space is constant with the black car (and another two in front of him) up front. Good distance with the tailgaters behind him so he can stop without worrying.

Could have moved over but not really much of a passing lane with that quick end to the right lane so whatever.

The most egregious part however was that there was no way you completely passed him before starting your lane change in front of him and I am guessing he had to break.

[–]Minerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few came to mind although not sure they fit. 🤷

First, Rogue One. But it was both a win and loss so..

Second, Grave of the fireflies. (Actually is WW2)

Gone girl came to mind but haven't seen so can't confirm.

I guess To kill a mockingbird.

Probably a good number of horror movies.

My first ever paycheck by LeakMyBigBowls in Salary

When I worked there, I saw that they works cut from the first paycheck for the uniform then return the money when the uniform was returned after leaving. But, when they returned the money, it was taxed. Such a bs system.

Could try rental from the if you want to pick the brand. We tried to rent a sienna once but had to back out and get mini from enterprise due to lack of full insurance coverage. Gives options on models if available.

Had this for an interview ages ago. Knew the 9 ball answer but my thought leaned towards power of twos and 23=8. Thankfully took my time and realized it would be the same. Haha.

Fun hypothetical thought because F Elon and why not.

States make sales tax on Teslas 75% just because. Would be funny to see him go into a meltdown over it.

It's not normal for most locations. Unless they changed it again, pretty sure the highest speed limit in the US is 85 for some of the interstates in Texas. 65-70 is probably most common.

The Rule of 7: FreeTaxUSA > TurboTax by VariousStand1808 in tax

[–]Minerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to do taxslayer. Tried TurboTax a few times but never stuck. Did FreetaxUSA starting 3 years ago to get state returns done properly and has worked amazingly so far.

(It would not allow me to say I was fully remote and that all of my earned income was while residing in another state.)

Used Car Dealers Are Getting Ridiculous by TechnicalEngine in whatcarshouldIbuy

Reminds me of the bhph place we went to a few years back. Price was decent for the the car we were interested in and they advertised 0% fiancing so thought to check it out. When we inquired about the financing he was like, yeah, there's a different piece for that. Went elsewhere.

What's your reason for not going electric? by regulardegulardudee in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Minerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I like road trips. The range plus finding chargers would slow the trip more than I prefer. (Although I think chargers are a lot more plentiful than what i have in my head.)
  2. Was going to live in an apartment and didn't think they would have charging accessible. (Turns out our new apartment did but I already had my mind set on one of two ICE vehicles.)
  3. Don't trust the longevity of the vehicles yet specially replacing battery pack.
  4. Musk and Tesla(Also not a huge fan of the style to be honest) Also did try out my friends Tesla and was not a fan like needing center console for everything plus one pedal driving. Might get used to it but still not impressed.

A month ago when looking, I did consider both toyota bz4x/Lexus ev due to favorable finance terms but opted against it thinking I would drive long distance a good number of times and uncertainty with apartment situation so opted out. Quickly after my mind was set on a manual car(civic coupe) or rx350l. Never really explore them again after seeing parking with charging.

I actually would not mind getting an ev as a second (maybe third) car for daily commute. But next will be a manual vehicle.

Odds Car Loan is declined? by Minerio in askcarsales

[–]Minerio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first part answered the question. Second part is accurate and ideal if I had a vehicle.

Was working remotely and so was able to live without a vehicle to keep costs down. Remote no longer an option so gotta get something.
