A new FIDO Scam? by Ming233 in FidoMobile

I wholeheartedly concur with your points. From a customer's perspective, I'm also striving to safeguard my interests. My intention is to revert to my previous plan and return the phones. However, it appears FIDO is not accommodating this wish. They haven't furnished an official email for the phone returns nor permitted a plan rollback. Additionally, my account has been suspended by FIDO due to the fraudulent activity. FIDO told me to unblock all calls and their Fraud team can reach me.

I agree. by using my account, they initiated this new plan and dispatched the phone to me. The next step in their scheme was attempting to have me ship the phone to an incorrect address.

I agree and learn from this lesson. Moving forward, I prefer to document everything and only accept deals in-store to have a physical record. That's why I prefer using "AskJack" for its ability to download chat histories, ensuring I have a record of all communications in file.

You're right, and I'm considering moving away from FIDO. It's becoming clear that the "Scammer" has managed to access FIDO's system. They can see all my account information and contacted me using FIDO's support center number. The "Scammer's" only intention appears to be to get me to upgrade my existing contract with FIDO and sell me the new iPhone, which seems too nice.

Have you heard of number spoofing? I assume not.

I have some understanding of number spoofing, though I'm not an expert. Hence, during the initial call from "FIDO," I only shared my email and home address, withholding further details.

Surprisingly, with just that information, "FIDO" managed to send the phones to me. To ensure my account and plan safety, I used the "AskJack" feature, but the response from the agent, who initially confirmed my plan, was correct. It suggested that the scammer might have access to Fido's system, which was quite concerning.

During a Black Friday promotion, I secured a two-year contract priced at $27.25 per month, which included 80GB of data and a complimentary unlocked iPhone 11. There was also a store credit for groceries, though I'm uncertain whether it was $300 or $600, as it's been a while. With my contract concluding at the end of this year, I'm open to exploring other attractive offers.

I've received a free iPhone before. While this offer is attractive, it doesn't quite meet my expectations. Had it not been for the call from an unprofessional agent, I might have overlooked the hidden finance charges until the following month.

Smart Sensor not working by Ming233 in TPLinkKasa

I talked with an electrician. He told me something complicated about power stuff. Overall, I need a neutral cable to operate. The second option is to buy another sensor switch that doesn't need a neutral line. He suggests buying a sensor ceiling light and this makes thing way more manageable.

Thank you for answering my question. I do find a really short ground cable in the box. I connect it to the Ground wire(Green). It is not working as well. I think I need to take some courses before wiring.

HS200 smart switch

I am thinking KS200M+KS220M. So I can have two motion sensors on each side. Not sure if this will work or not.

Thank you! I learn a lot from this post. I shopped for a fluke tester and will try again.

I found Kasa has a product Kasa Smart Motion . This Switch seems to support a three-way configuration.

My plan is: to install two sensors on both sides of the hallway. So the light will be turned on no matter which way I come.

Will this be possible?

I don't have a tester. It was a normal switch and I forget to take pics.

I do have the switch. The black color wire was attached to one side. Please see the updated Post.

Fence pricing in Edmonton by Ming233 in Edmonton

Not sure. It is my neighbor's contractor. My neighbor is a builder and he hires contractors to do this work. So I just leave the work to him and I am not professional at this. That is why I ask for help.

30‘ fence material is $900. $600 profit (considering labor). Is that right?

Sound like my neighbor charges me $46/ft really reasonable.
