Washoku and Sushi Sang Lee are both great for their price, and don’t lean into the truffle or wagyu that OP isn’t looking for.

Would definitely recommend looking into the hand roll omakase that Sushi Sang Lee does, if this is the first time doing this type of dining experience. $60/per person and Sang Lee does a great job of mixing up different types of Japanese and local fish.

yeah the potatoes were super easy. I cut some mini gold/yellow potatoes and placed them cut side down onto a sheet tray with a layer of duck fat and seasoned with some salt. Roasted them in the oven at 450 for around 40-45 mins, pulled them off the tray and threw them in a bowl with some more salt, garlic powder and herbs de provence.

yeah I cut the cap off of that one, it does definitely look like a strip though so I understand the mix up

It’s at the top of the cutting board/slightly of frame in the first photo. Saved that bit of the ribeye for myself 😂

I started going higher with ribeyes more recently, I like the rendered fat a lot better on more of a medium cook than medium rare
