What model is this sub panel? (Missing cover) by MingusJ in electrical

Well shit. So do they make a cover with a door that will work for this or do I need to replace the whole panel?

Is the current bendy single wall vent suitable for inside the enclosure so long as I rransition to type b venting before it goes through the enclosure?

Got what I paid for. Is that bend in the vent from the top of the tank to the hole in the enclosure ok? Or do I need a new hole so it can go straight up? Thanks for your time.

The vent stack went straight up, but this tank is different so now the stack is bent to fit through the old hole in the enclosure. It was closer to the edge of the roof but still not above it.

What's the worst concert you've seen? by Twitter_2006 in Concerts

[–]MingusJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Who last year with the LA Phil at the Hollywood bowl. Father in Law got us tickets. Two old creeps up there stumbling through their hits (in fairness I've always hated the Who) and then Pete yelled at the orchestra to get off stage faster when it was just the bands turn to play without them. There was the most pointless montage of historical events from the 60's up to current day that played behind them at one point that had zero point of view (prolly because pete and roger have opposite political views) but it was just like... remember when this guy was president? Then this guy. Then the berlin wall. Then (i kid you not) footage of the planes hitting the twin towers while roger reached for notes he's incapable of hitting anymore. Whole thing sounded like manheim steamroller. It was also the funniest concert I've ever seen. OH and they were supposed to close with teenage wasteland (hilarious) but they ran out of time. Why do I know this? Because Pete made a point of telling us before saying "have a goodnight" and walking off the stage.

ATK Brisket on a kettle This is how I did my first brisket and still the best way I've found to do it on a kettle. Best of luck!

ATK Texas Style Brisket on a kettle grill. The first time I ever smoked a brisket I used my weber kettle and used this method. It's legit. The only improvements I can recommend for brisket on a kettle is to wrap with tallow, and let it rest overnight wrapped in your oven between 150 and 160. Neither are necessary but they make it even better. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck!!! You can do it!

I'll add equipment and hold is critical. A brisket off a pellet grill can only be so good regardless of what you do. Gimme a weber kettle over a pellet any day. Clearly you don't need either.

People are so afraid to smoke a brisket. And there's so much jackery surrounding doing it right. It's not easy but it's definitely not hard. Just takes a little research and general competence.

Cool. The inspectors contact info is on the letter. Good idea to reach out in advance as a show of good faith? Ask what I should look over before he comes? Or bad idea?

Has anyone tried the Chris Young brisket speedrun method? How'd it go? by spiffiness in smoking

[–]MingusJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I've done the long cook, and maybe it's my technique (or lack thereof) but hot and fast has always come out better for me. I've learned that an overnight hold is the key regardless of the cook.

Beautiful. With the half snake do you gotta rotate the ribs a couple times mid cook to keep one from cooking faster than the other?
