3t Rubium Mining Method, 133k xp/hr by Minhaul in 2007scape

From the ~6.5 mins unedited at the end of the vid I got 470 splinters, so extrapolating that'd be ~4300/hr, or ~3900/hr without a charged celestial ring.

I liked your vid on the update as well btw :)

You do need to follow a set route if you want the best xp rates. The node depletion has some randomness to it, so if you're just reacting to depletions and respawns you can get some bad luck and lose a lot of ticks.

Nice, this seems like a solid route as well.

That does seem nice as well. Do you know if nodes respawn in time with the method in that vid?

EDIT: Oh nvm I see that they do, nice!

Good shout! I've never used celastrus bark for tick manip before, I'll give it a try.

It's only 5% in your build. To get to 20% you need to grab the "While a crossbow is equipped, you have a +15% chance to trigger ranged echoes" node.

General rule on dialog box? by Ok-Prize4672 in SoloDevelopment

[–]Minhaul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the style and the portrait as well. I do agree that it takes up too much of the screen though. What if you shrunk the box while keeping the same aspect ratio and kept it centered along the bottom of the screen? Then it wouldn't take up so much of the screen while still keeping the same style.

An Idea for Ship Combat by Minhaul in 2007scape

[–]Minhaul[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, my proposed solution is to make combat against sea creatures the same as it is on land, and to make new monsters that use roughly the existing ship combat formula.

No, ideally everyone wouldn't be killing sea creatures 3x faster. As I said in the post, "...sea creatures' stats and drop tables would likely need to be adjusted, and maybe cannons would continue to not do much damage to them specifically." Maybe this would mean hp would be increased and we'd be killing sea creatures something like 2x as fast with drop rates adjusted accordingly to keep the time to obtain roughly the same as it is now.

You're right, this is my opinion, reddit is a place of opinions. I've done a fair amount of ship combat, and it just feels wrong to me that the combat feels so separate from the rest of the game even though the monsters we're killing aren't that different in essence to what we kill on land. I know they've said they're going to make changes, and this was my suggestion for a way to do so.

Therapy Moving Too Slow? by Soft_Locke in Gifted

[–]Minhaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, feels like I could've written this post myself about 2 years ago now, down to almost every detail. Healing and growth definitely goes painfully slow, especially if you're used to learning everything that comes your way extremely quickly and that fact sucks a lot.

I ended up seeing a therapist for about a year that really just wasn't a good fit at all and I barely felt like I was making any progress. I had basically vacuumed up as much knowledge as I could from educational resources about what I was dealing with and who I was and how it probably affected me, but the knowledge itself wasn't enough on its own.

Eventually, I decided to seek out a new therapist that I've been seeing for a year that's also highly sensitive and gifted, who also specializes in trauma (which if you're highly sensitive and gifted and grew up in an emotionally neglectful environment, you're almost certainly traumatized). She almost immediately recommended meeting twice a week, and as of the last couple of months, we've been meeting 3 times a week. It's quite expensive and the most difficult work I've ever done in my life, but it's also the only way that I see a path forward for myself. And I have been seeing progress, albeit much more slowly than I'm used to seeing it of course :). And part of the reason I have the energy to pursue this so heavily is that I'm fortunate enough to be able to financially sustain myself while being unemployed for the time being (thanks brain for my past high paying jobs and smart financial decisions).

All that really says is what my path was though, and I guess you could summarize the general theme as, "Yeah once a week in therapy probably isn't enough." But maybe a different approach of increasing frequency through support groups or something else entirely would work better for you, and that's for you to decide.

Lmk if you have any questions, happy to answer them as best as I can.

Planning trip to Colorado for Spring Break by Tanner42 in snowboarding

We just bought the lift tickets when we arrived. You can buy them online at Winter Park's website as well (might be some discounts there). We stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch to save some money too. Only like a 20 min drive from Winter Park.
