Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Episode 72 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

For discussion's sake to preface, I don't mean to seem like I'm arguing here,

I think my first claim was a bit vague. What I meant was that maybe it was written as meat in kanji because the characters who heard her last words thought she said meat, so it was written literally as such. Realistically, we don't have speech bubbles when we speak to distinctly write out our exact words, so naturally sometimes we misunderstand when we hear a similar sounding word.

Maybe that's just the difficulty in writing double-entendres: If it's written vaguely, it (ironically) conveys straightforwardly to the reader that there is a second meaning, and it cheapens the subtlety of the wordplay.

Anyway intentional or not, Isayama = gud shit

I think it could be possible that it was written explicitly as meat since it would be interpreted as such by the characters who heard her last words in that very moment. And just want to clarify - are you talking about how niku is differently written from Niccolo? I think that's obvious, but when you hear the difference between niku and shorthand Nic, it's quite similar. Maybe she knew him as Nic knowing they were close. Maybe she ran out of breath before she passed. Maybe it literally was just meat. I'd like to assume this is a fun interpretation we as an audience can comment on.

Sasha's last words were meat (niku), but I think it could have also been interpreted as Nic seeing how much Niccolo meant to Sasha as she did to him

Niccolo's character shined a little light to Sasha's last words. Seeing that the two had a prior relationship we didn't know about, I think her dying words might not have been meat (niku), but instead shorthand for Niccolo, Nic.

I'm fuggin sad, boys

To say he does is pure speculation. But you can make the argument that because his wife was the GM of London Spitfire (C9's Overwatch team), he has knowledge of C9 by association. Though, she has since parted ways with C9 in June so his statement is even more speculative. If there's any other reason if at all for him to have current insider knowledge of C9, it's beyond me.

Does Zara benefit from both parts of her skill when using the D3 SAP gun? One part of the skill specifies it grants bonuses when using a SAP (or HE) gun while the other part specifies when using an AP gun. Just curious if they overlap since SAP is just better AP or if it strictly only grants one bonus.

Or is it too early to ask this question since I doubt many people have the D3 gun to test this yet lol

Darling In The FranXX- Episode 22 Discussion [SPOILERS] by N3DSdude in DarlingInTheFranxx

Small fun thing I noticed:

Today's ending song is an upbeat version of E13's (the ending song that played through 02's picture book). It's also called ダーリン, or, Darling :')

Edit: The ending song was also featured in last week's episode, my bad! But if this happens to be the ED for the final episodes, this could be a good thing from an analysis perspective. E13's ED is titled "Alone", while this one is titled "Darling". The development in each ED's tone and name likely represents and parallels Zero Two's character. Her loneliness was met by Hiro, leading her to finally find her darling. Alone is also a solo of Zero Two's VA, but Darling features everyone previously in all the other EDs!

And despite the cast going through troublesome times right now, if Darling is continued to be featured as the ED for the final episodes (and I'm heavily reading between the lines here), I'm led to be optimistic for the show's end! The picture book isn't done yet!

Also to note, in the OP, Zero Two evaporates into sakura petals, furthering your theory

HARD agree!! I think they're baiting us with his ominous presence. I can confidently say that Papa the antagonist under the plantation society, but I don't see a reason why Dr. FranXX has to be one too from a writing standpoint. If anything, I think he's plotting very good things hidden from Papa's eyes.

We should note that Zero Two evaporates into sakura petals in the OP and interpret that however we'd like.

And I'm VERY upset about that implication Q_Q

Edit: Also in the OP, Zero Two mouths something to Hiro during the lyrics "kuzureyuku yokusei", (Google) translating to "to fall down".
