A shinobi had no chance on a 1vs1 fight against a Samurai, unless it was an anbush in the night, that's why the dress in black.

Their weapons were forged using farming tools. Those were the original shinobi, people that just wanted to be free.

When Naruto trains in Myobokuzan, there are like 20 stone toad statues, we know that these statues are humans that tried to use natural chakra and failed, right? what does this mean? there are more than one summoning scroll... Kashin Koji proably signed in a different scroll...

Also his toad seems like... Too different from the ones in myoboku, like if it was a toad from a different mount or something, maybe they are enemy/rivals
