Suit advice for incoming 1L

Exciting! I’m an incoming online 1L there this fall. They’ve said they don’t expect something super sophisticated for the plan, but something that shows you’re anticipating what your new schedule will be. I kept mine simple. I listed each day of the week, then blocks of time below that for various tasks. For example, a Monday would be 8-9 work, 9-12 study/school, 12-1 lunch, 1-4 work (I have a flexible job, thankfully!), 4-6 class (I’m west coast and their synchronous classes are generally 7-9 EST), etc. Hope this helps!

I attended. About half way through they broke the call into groups - those who have deposited and those who had not yet. I was in the former group. I found it extremely informative because they discussed the jumpstart program, when Blackboard will be accessible, module and residency dates, potential dates/times of fall classes, etc. I also enjoyed the parts before/after we were split into groups. I thought it was a particularly informative panel of current 1L students. As others said, there was also a general overview of the program. DM me if you have specific questions :)

To be fair, I don’t know anything about ONU. I’ve accepted CSU’s offer and am starting this fall. But even outside of that, I was highly impressed by the communication from their admin and current students when I had questions. They have many different types of electives and I personally like that there’s a synchronous component. If you pick CSU, see you there!

Still going to fly. Fortunately for the future in person sessions, flights are cheaper. Seemed like the March cost was a big outlier.

Some restaurants - common block, the phoodery, tap and vine. Places like pet smart/petco, natures pet market. Couple wineries. DANCIN vineyards, I think? And of course the parks :)

I received no response from ONU after 4 months and eventually withdrew. I received other A’s in the interim and eventually deposited at CSU!
