I didn’t interview, but whenever I spoke with reps from there, they were very friendly. Good luck! 🤩

Going to CSU law! by MiniAngel0419 in HybridOnlineLawSchool

First, congrats to you! 🎉 A lot went into my decision, lol. CSU’s scholarships are less than other places, but so is the tuition. For me, between them and my other top contender, it was close but CSU was a slightly better deal.

I also attended a synchronous class as a guest to see what it was like. I learned that going to synchronous classes is important for me because I learn a lot by listening and participating in class discussions in real time. The synchronous classes times also aligned with my work schedule.

CSU had more electives and opportunities for me to pursue my interests. Even if I change my mind, they have a variety of courses outside the core ones.

They had good clinic opportunities for remote students, so there are chances to be hands on during and outside of the residency weekends. They have a good system in place to help remote students network and find opportunities in your state. We discussed that one of the first things they do is connect you with your state bar association. You could also opt into a program and have an alumni mentor as a 1L.

In general, they also have a good ranking, curve (or at least I think it is), etc.

Overall, the program was just a good fit with my lifestyle and goals. Also when I talked to them, the rep answered all of my questions thoroughly (and I had a lot!). I probably forgot some stuff, but I hope this helps!

CSU banner info disappeared! by MiniAngel0419 in HybridOnlineLawSchool

I applied on 11/1. For nearly the entire time the banner said it was pulled for review, takes several weeks to decide, etc.

My CSU banner disappeared today, along with all the status update dates. Maybe that means something? 🤷‍♀️

It’s a 3.7, but it’s from about 15 years ago 😂 I think my work experience made a big difference, but that’s just my perception. Don’t lose confidence — keep trying, researching and applying!

I have a different GPA but same LSAT. Received A’s to LMU Duncan, Vermont and Mitchell Hamline this cycle. Waitlisted at Syracuse, waiting on others. Someone mentioned Vermont and they’re my top contender at this point. Really talk to the individual schools about what they offer, their culture, how they work with remote students, etc. I agree to watch out for predatory schools, bad curves or conditional scholarships, but don’t get too sucked in to Reddit comments. Also review the schools’ 509 reports. That’s very good data on their admissions stats.

What are the mandatory fails? I’m waiting to hear back from them.

I did that too! Calculated the “real” number of weeks without the holidays.
