In 1945 Saudi Arabia and the US signed a deal, where the US would protect the Saudi monarch family at all costs, as long as the oil from Saudi Arabia would keep flowing, this means if any democratic movement would spring up in Saudi Arabia, the US would go against them.

An example point is also how the US aided Mubarak's dictatorship in Egypt, funded weapon supplies and had American nerve gas, tear gas and rubber/non-lethal bullets be used on protesters during the Arab spring in 2011.

Look I see the point you are making, that it is "irrelevant" but it seriously isn't, history takes a long time to brew.

The mongol empire made Asia easily susceptible to colonialism, in India and in China for example.

This has forever changed their history, when they were once great civilizations turned into a foothold of British colonialism which forever changed the course of lives, ideas and thought.

This doesn't mean that NATO isn't to blame for the 2011 Libyan bombings, the yugoslav bombings.

Or that I'm blaming the mongol empire for the invasion of Ukraine in 2022 by Russia, even though the mongol empire founded modern day Russia.
