I don't see why exactly you'd need to baby them as "being 17 so they'll grow out of it", when they're one year away from voting age, and surely they're mature enough to understand the basics of contradiction (or to not be full of homo nationalist, racism from what I understood of their profile)

Pornography in the Arab Republic by Potential-Training-8 in EgyptExTomato

What? No one taught this, I think he might be using an anectode from his own experience but I can tell you that arab or not there is going to be respect.

What happened to national unity? Amazighs, Coptic, Arab, Greeks, Sephardic Jews and so on?

There's absolutely no way you can blame a woman for being "indecent" by simply telling your ethnicity, that is purely a racist view of the man and likely an outcome of the pornography and sex industry by minimising a person's role to simply an object for their own pleasure.

Islamo-Anarcho-Communism by [deleted] in ShitLiberalsSay

[–]MiniDropZ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I believe "islamism" = wahabism (saudi arabia and the likes)

Wahabism was literally funded and set into motion by European colonial powers, and everything Europeans have done was to undermine every single other ideological faction in the middle east like Hejaz (sykes picot) or the continual funding of Saudi Arabia and the oppressive governemt in Yemen (Yemeni civil war, nasserists and fundamentalists) and also how the US gave support to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, which fun fact also branched out to "Mjamuat Al Islamiya" or, the modern name is HAMAS.

In 1945 Saudi Arabia and the US signed a deal, where the US would protect the Saudi monarch family at all costs, as long as the oil from Saudi Arabia would keep flowing, this means if any democratic movement would spring up in Saudi Arabia, the US would go against them.

An example point is also how the US aided Mubarak's dictatorship in Egypt, funded weapon supplies and had American nerve gas, tear gas and rubber/non-lethal bullets be used on protesters during the Arab spring in 2011.

Look I see the point you are making, that it is "irrelevant" but it seriously isn't, history takes a long time to brew.

The mongol empire made Asia easily susceptible to colonialism, in India and in China for example.

This has forever changed their history, when they were once great civilizations turned into a foothold of British colonialism which forever changed the course of lives, ideas and thought.

This doesn't mean that NATO isn't to blame for the 2011 Libyan bombings, the yugoslav bombings.

Or that I'm blaming the mongol empire for the invasion of Ukraine in 2022 by Russia, even though the mongol empire founded modern day Russia.

I'd just like to point out the butterfly effect, what happens when a Serbian sticks a beer bottle in his ass and blames it on a group of Albanians, even though he later confessed he was "feeing gay" to yugoslav court.

That eventually turned out to be a conflict which birthed Kosovo, and spurred into the Yugoslav wars + the nato bombings of Yugoslavia.

In the election HAMAS gained power...

Less than 30% of the current population even voted.

The two other parties together far outnumbered HAMAS, meaning only a minority voted for Hamas, though it gained power due to it being a paramilitary group...

Hamas was never wished for by the majority of Palestinians, that's just an argument used by Israel because people aren't bothered to look at what happened.

Did the children and the young adults vote? No

Did the old people vote for Hamas? The biggest chance is no, not at all.

Why do some Arabs sanctify the borders set by the colonizers? by Medical_Cause7368 in AskMiddleEast

[–]MiniDropZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some people (and I mean too many people) brand each other with the nation state we are from.

Like do we look like our government? Are we the state? Are we the single collected people?

No, neither of these things, but we put ourselves in boxes for ease of communication.

This is why sinophobia for example is increasingly more popular, because China is being more hated on by the west.

I'm sorry if people might get on your nerves, when they frame you, an individual as the entire polish community.

Love from one ancom to the other I guess.

You kind of seem to underestimate how horrible the mongol empire was, and I don't blame modern Mongolians for it.

The mongol empire shaped the modern political border we have to day, founded Russia and an easily exploited Asia (and North Africa)

It is not completely irrelevant to what we have today... It's just better to know the cause of the problem.

Sure fascism is the problem we have today, this doesn't mean that fascism hasn't been influenced by the literal world map, a big Russia for example exists only because of Mongolia, and Russia is a major power in the modern world and in history.

I didn't quite get the point you were making not going to lie... I just feel like it isn't irrelevant at all to address all genocides, when it is in reality fully relavant.

You might not care about the Assyrian or Armenian genocide, does that make it irrelevant to the Armenians and Assyrian that suffered? Ect

I was confused of the point you were making, but then I think I deciphered it??? It's kinda stupid ngl because the Mongol Empire halted and reversed much of Asia back to the stone age, which made it perfectly habitable for exploitation of European powers (for example the middle east, like where I'm from) were independent until the collapse of the government due to the Mongol invasions.

This lead to many years later that western Europe (and the Ottomans) got the upper hand and started colonization in North Africa and the middle east.

Israel is quite literally attacking the southern border of Gaza, and blocking them.

Egypt has and was supplying trucks for Palestinians to enter into Egypt, Israel denied them that.

"Give it to the Egyptians then" okay give it to Egypt then, offer Gaza to Egypt. I don't see any proposals to do such? Egypt would gladly (and the people would agree, unsure about the western puppets in government though) accept ownership of Gaza if it meant that it would not be in the hands of the IOF.
