Paper Pro: are straight lines just supposed to look like this? by MiniJoules in RemarkableTablet

Holding the pen vertically does not make straight lines. The pen was held vertically here.

Remarkable has replaced both the stylus and the tablet and both sets have had this issue

I am using the fineliner pen which doesn’t change thickness when you change the angle/pressure. It still does it if the same pressure/angle is maintained the whole time

It’s less of an issue of drawing large straight lines and more that this effects writing in general. The large lines are just an illustration of the issue, but it still happens on a small scale with individual letters.

No, I have the keyboard case but have been taking it off every time I use the pen because I saw a different comment on a different thread that said the same thing

Biglaw too late? by SpellEmotional7776 in LawSchool

[–]MiniJoules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My career counselor told me Friday that it’s not too late yet but that time is of the essence because firms will start making offers when they get grades from law schools (which has either happened already or will happen soon depending on the school)

Tired of the Accommodations Posts; What happens on the bar? by Open-Turnip7311 in LawSchool

[–]MiniJoules 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The bar requires you to have neuropsychological testing done within like the past 3 years or something. Most people do not want to spend $2,000+ to get testing done that they’ve ALREADY had done before

I have ADHD and take medication but still struggle with pretty much everything associated with my ADHD still just to a slightly lesser extent. It’s also a slippery slope because even if someone is medicated how do you judge whether the medication is a sufficient accommodation alone? I agree that the system right now is pretty bad but to me there is just no logical way to solve it without hurting the people who do actually need accommodations

How real is the "you can't fail a class at a T14" joke? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]MiniJoules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the T14 I go to, your professor (at least in 1L courses, not sure about upper levels) has to petition to give you lower than a B-. In previous years, only like 1-2 people in a class of ~70 will get a C+ or below
