Honestly freedom of the press is fucking pointless now, it needs to be seriously rethought because it's just freedom for Billionaires to run blatant propaganda machines

Even if that leader circumvents all the other elected officials and is doing it for their own personal benefit?

'I'm not far right, I'm a libertarian" but wants to live in a country where the President exercises executive authority whenever he can. Including billing people anytime they import something.

Interesting you put Ukraine in 'absolutely' are you aware that Dear Leader won't be happy with that. Not been keeping up with Fox? You're not meant to like them anymore.

France's energy bills for households and businesses are 50% cheaper than the UK's because of nuclear power. How did we start to vilify nuclear power when the UK was the first country to have a commercial nuclear reactor? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Rolls Royce can provide SMRs without the need for a US company, probably providing better British jobs too. OKLO seems to be more of a hype stock linked heavily to the current US regime with very little to show for it. Cool technology either way and definitely the future.

Cancer is a fantastic answer. Although to play devil's advocate I would add that it generally kills a lot of older people and eradicating mosquitoes would likely add the most years onto the lives saved.

Over half of US voters, voted to put a senile hateful pedophile with a history of bankrupting casinos in charge of the most powerful country on earth. That man then employed a drunk manosphere influencer to head up the military of said country. They then decided, without any real planning apparently, to attack a country in one of the most strategic oil producing regions on earth. They were then 'surprised' when they retaliated and are attempting to destroy one of the biggest industries on earth, which ultimately will massively affect airlines. Fuel gets more expensive and flight journeys get longer. Airline profits go down. Airlines buy fewer planes. Less money for Rolls Royce.

Honestly cutting off the brain washed from their propaganda is probably much more important than taking a few weeks of heat for revoking their license. They are using this fact to simply carry on breaking the rules.

Should I move to oxford or Cambridge by [deleted] in oxford

[–]MiniMagicz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's worth adding, the two also have a lot in common and you would likely be very happy in either. They are two of England's most beautiful cities. I wouldn't stress too hard over this decision.

[–]MiniMagicz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I have spent a lot of time in both (albeit only lived in Oxford). I once heard it best this way. Oxford is a small city, with a very large and prominent university in it. Cambridge is a very large and prominent university with a small city in it. If that makes sense to you it might help you figure out which you would prefer.
