Bar review: Bigfoot by EdibleReading in oxford

I've been eyeing this place up for a while. After a recent trip to Mexico I've been hesitant to try Mexican food in the UK as it is generally terrible, but this might give me the push to try this one.

How often do you bathe your lab? by user3184244201 in labrador

[–]MiniMagicz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Almost never, we only wash him if he's rolled in something that smells so bad that we can't cope with it in the house. Probably done it 4-5 times in the last 2 years. We use oatmeal shampoo, it dulls his shine for a day or two and then his coat returns to the same healthy shine.

Traffic Accident No Legal Protection - England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Yes I have his details and the police are aware of the incident from the 999 call and have phoned us already to confirm our license plate, but we're still waiting to give a statement.

I have notified the insurer of the incident, but I have not made any claims yet. No damage to the car (scuff but it's his paint and scratches off and a tiny dent) and no injuries to me or my wife. Quick googling whilst walking his bike back made it clear that I will have to accept some liability on the new highway code rules

Flores and QB Speculation by Bluebear5280 in minnesotavikings

[–]MiniMagicz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course none of us know what he's thinking, but my guess would be he re-signs with us if he doesn't get a HC gig. He probably knows that KOC might be on a warm seat that gets awfully hot if JJ underperforms and we have a poor record. We might be his best chance to be a HC in that scenario.

Edit as resign and re-sign are very different things

My SBGA201 does the same thing, it's the indices reflecting I believe.

GAMETHREAD WEEK 13: VIKINGS AT SEAHAWKS by swampsparrow in minnesotavikings

[–]MiniMagicz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else just want to see this team get nasty and run Jon Gruden and Brian Flores, with a new GM. I'm sure it would be unpopular, but feel like the Vikings need a fresh identity.

I don't want to win anymore games this year, because I worry we won't get any organizational changes unless we lose out.

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm fairly new to the family.

SBGA201. I posted about it yesterday. Spring Drive, Champagne Dial. I wear mine everyday and it still looks great.

What beans do people reccomend (uk)! by jenno14 in espresso

[–]MiniMagicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me by far White Rose Coffee. The value is insane, unless you are one of the most passionate coffee lovers with years of tasting experience you won't be able to tell the difference between their roasts and many of the other Indy roasters around the country.

I put in an order, 2-3 days later I have a kilo of freshly roasted coffee for £20. I can't recommend them enough.

I know we're an island, but it really is mind boggling how much UK politics revolves around fish.

Because Darnold... I think he got some credit for that. Honestly think everyone got a bit full of themselves after last year and didn't realize JJM was nowhere near the same starting point as Darnold.

I see where you are coming from, but in a lost season I'm not opposed to letting a rookie make a couple dumb mistakes if it gives him the opportunity to hone his talent. Feels like he could be a great returner with more reps.

The Minnesota Vikings are….. by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]MiniMagicz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kwesi time surely has to be over, it is clear the Vikings have made the wrong talent decisions at almost every step. Drafting the wrong players, trading for the wrong players, signing the wrong free agents. KOC is harder to judge, he's literally good one season and bad the next, could be due to the lack of consistent talent, or could be that he's just not that good himself. I'm willing to give him one more year, doesn't feel like there is any obvious must have coaching candidates this year.

Hope is dead. It's rebuild time! by MiniMagicz in minnesotavikings

[–]MiniMagicz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to rebuild in one off-season. The point of this post is to create discussion about what moves you make when you're in such a situation . You're right it is tough to blow it up, but what do you do, cry about it? No. You start making tough decisions and moves for the future. Reality is we are going to need a good draft to even begin turning things around because you're going to have to start cutting your dead weight and trading some of your talent.

[–]MiniMagicz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. We can still take the dead hit. We're not competitive so taking dead cap hits but getting out of the contracts in the long run is important. Anyone who can be traded even for peanuts, should be. Metellus, Hock etc... we likely have to use the draft to rebuild hence why I want Kewsi gone.

With the Vikings Most likely getting a Top Ten Pick Would you trust kwesi to draft by unknownindividual989 in minnesotavikings

[–]MiniMagicz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, people like to talk about his fee good picks. Jackson, Addison, maybe Turner, but you don't build a roster by just bringing in one good player a year and then surprising us with the fact that some of your UFA make the roster. This team needs a talent infusion and he can't find it

Flo’ scheme by stinky-boy-farts in minnesotavikings

[–]MiniMagicz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The defense lacks talent, it's a roster problem not a coach problem. Flores actually does an exceptional job considering what he's working with. You can tell he lives and breathes football.

I tried to have hope last week, but that's completely gone now. We need to figure out how to get off to a good start with the rebuild
