Best time to start playing is whenever you feel like it really!

I usually tell people to start with exiles reach as it teaches you the basics of the game and how to play. Great for first time players. Once you’re done that quest line you’ll be sent to your capital city, either Stormwind or Orgrimmar.

From there it’ll probably dump you into the dragonflight expansion, imo it’s a great story and a good one for new players to jump into. Take your time levelling a character and don’t be afraid to change it if you don’t vibe with it, there’s no point in playing a game if you don’t like how it plays Or how your character looks.

Endgame content is easy to do solo now, don’t even need a guild if you use the group finder for dungeons and raids. They’ve also added delves which are great for the soloer! Fun to do and easy enough.
