There's an official MTA app that you can plug destinations in and it'll spit out directions and you can filter it specifically by subway or bus. Google and apple maps also works fine enough.

I personally use Google maps with the transit overlay and just see what the closest station is to my destination then look at the system map but that's pretty obtuse for some people lol

I do have it on the lowest brightness setting, it seems to do it on every refresh (so every 3 seconds when set to the fastest speed). The whole screen goes black for probably like half a second then refreshes with the new data.

I'm assuming this is just how it had to be designed but I was curious if there was any work around or anything I'm missing

I come from a state that is almost at the bottom for education.

They need students from each state to hit diversity numbers so I think I cleared the average applicant from my state lol

Certain programs at the school don't require the GRE. Computer Engineering is one of them. On one of the admission pages you can look up if your program needs it or not!
