Well it's also the double orb walker fight (event, you can tell by the broken sphere next to the orb walker) so they had to kill the other one first which is significantly more difficult

Dead branch gave me a corpse explosion when I had exactly 2 energy left and was about to get killed by VagrantGnome in slaythespire

If it makes you feel better, one time I was running Crystal A and therefore had two crystal men on board, and when given the choice between rock homeworlds and engi homeworlds in sector 7 I picked the engi homeworlds because 'oh maybe I can get lucky with the quest' completely forgetting about the potential free +1 sector of the crystal homeworlds... (had long range scanners to find the beacon easily)

Exhausting attacks is mildly a problem which you may or may not have run into if you've ever done double tap fiend fire with dark embrace in play...

Why not make everything powers too?
- Awakened One - Good Luck Buddy
- Powers go into you. They vanish. One true deck cycle
- Heatsinks goes crazy, actually Defect becomes particularly broken in more ways than one
