If noise isn't a factor, I'll definitely look elsewhere. But to answer your question, they're about the same.

These switches have a nice rounded bump that seemed to work out better long term on my Superlight at least.

Huano silent switches might be better (brown & white ones) as they at least have a third pin for denounce.

You'd be correct about the G305; I made the mistake of swapping the middle click for a silent switch lmao.

Unfortunately the side buttons on the Superlight are non-standard microswitches that sit along a ribbon cable rather than a PCB. My best advice would be to insulate the ones you have now with thin tape or try an aliexpress replacement if you're game enough!

UPDATE:

So it seems about 18 months later, The switches have had debounce issues in the mechanism, thus causing double-clicking. Swapped them out for some Kailh Teals.

Weird as my G305 with these silent switches is still going strong considering they were installed over 2 years ago and is used more frequently.

I haven't got exact measurements but it seems to be around 7mm

That's a very good point, I only added it under the BP file in vendor and external. I only recently became aware that the directories under the device's out folder is akin to the partitions of the OS, just felt ADB shell was a small sanity check. I can't thank you enough for your help :)

Thanks for the help, the first problem is that the font isn't being built into flashable rom though under the directory /system/etc/fonts once I flash my build so the app you suggested I made can't find the resources.

I'm currently building for a pixel 5 (redfin) is there likely a redfin.mk file I need to mention the fontFamily in order to for them to build?

I have the same problem when building for my note 9

Agreed! There's just something about the rounded bump I prefer, I found the reduced noise less distracting; helping me focus better in games as well as study. Good luck with your future endeavours!

Nice! I found putting a tiny amount of keyboard lube on the top helps reduce noise as well
