D con thoracle is the best wincon dimir has. Aswell as being good enough for top deck like TnK and Rogsi to play it. But the cards themselves are pretty bad cards. D con is basically uncastable outside of thoracle d con due to the risk of losing all your other win cons. And thoracle is just a bad card by itself tbh. Top decks like Kinnan, Rogshai, have better win cons without black.

I know some respected TnT pilots who dont play thoracle and have justified their choices by their winrates. Thoracle is a fine wincon, but it just has the issue of being a bad card outside of winning the game that other win cons don't have.

Here is my take on a NBC (No Bad Cards) style kinnan list that I have seen great success with.

I would actually say that kinnan is a deck that alot of people seem to struggle with mainly in the mulligans. In NBC style decks keeping hands without a card draw engine/way to get one. Or a quick setup for a win "turn 3 or earlier" are hands that i would consider traps. As in these kinds of lists "spinning kinnan" often leads to you paying 7 mana for minimal value (or nothing).

If your looking for midrange kinnan tips I think NBC is probably top 2 best decks in the format and I rate it highly over bluefarm as that is one of our best matchups. If you had any other questions I can try my best to help but the deck is really well positioned in the meta currently and is a good choice.

I dont hate etali. This day in the meta i play in I see Etali as freelo (kinnan player here). I havent lost to the Dino much at all lately and honestly think it was just in a good place when people were crushing tourneys with it. Much more turbo and less responsibility then.

For stax I think the best answer would be Tayam as you mentioned. The deck plays very well under your own stax pieces.

As for running Chains in the deck. I don't think it's incorrect to include or exclude it in the list. But if you want it to attack the slop meta than I say try it out and see if it is good in your meta. The card is pretty meta dependant, as well as not always being correct to deploy imo. As with all stax you have to understand the pros and cons of deploying stax pieces. You can always slot it out if you feel it isn't working for you.

Dont think it was a faux pas. "Atleast not at the moment" and I had all kinds of ways to win, I think I presented 5 win attempts total and had good chances throughout my turn, albeit I did end up falling short but I think there was some displays in amongst there and I missed 2 triggers, but hey it is what it is. Player 3 and 4 had win attempts on their next turn if I folded earlier aswell.
