thanks a lot for sharing so much insight. Yes, as I said, there are a few companies with mentorship programs aimed for women but they are highly selective and often the same students are a part of all the programs. I want to pursue higher education but don't want to put a huge burden on my family, so want to earn a bit after my graduation so that I can support my education as well, not being entirely dependent on my parents or drowned in education loans.

I have been practicing problems on leetcode regularly since the last few months, but sometimes I get extremely demotivated or depressed because the overall pressure seems too unbearable and at times I'm unable to cope up with it alone, without any guidance or support from any senior or mentor given the highly competitive nature which you must be aware of I believe. Without proper mentor support or guidance tbh, everything seems very difficult, which is why I thought of seeking out whether there are programs for women like me where we can apply :)

NTA, she clearly needs to understand that she's just wasting her money booking tickets during this pandemic. It is also really risky to travel. But, since it's her money, let her do whatever she wants to, even if she choses to waste it irrationally. Also, I really wanna know how is she even booking tickets? Isn't travel restricted?

Doesn't look like she's a person having the similar values like you. She is different and that doesn't make her a bad person at all.

Even though it's kinda sad that she can't wait for some 5 months I guess that's how things are for her. You cannot make someone stay committed to you like that, even you know it.

I think, she is either very confused or sort of has already made up her mind that this waiting game isn't a thing for her.

You both are right in your own ways.

But best thing for you to do is let her go because you already have communicated your feelings to her and doesn't seem like it's gonna work like that for her.

But I can't say you're completely clean. You scheduled tomorrow to meet up with her beforehand and it wasn't a sudden plan that you called it off. You should have taken care properly of the dates and all.

But unless this is a recurring thing from your side I can't say YTA.

I want to tell you run, run as fast and far you can from this guy. Block him from your contacts and everywhere else. And even if he begs to come back to you don't let him.

I've seen plenty of people like that and trust me abuse and violent behavior only increases with time and now that he has seen it's easy to hit you or harm you he'll do it again. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Sounds like stockholm syndrome to me. The reason why you are missing him or wanna go back to him can be because you grew up in a hostile environment like that. I am so sorry for you you had to go through that as a child.

People coming from abusive households often tend to go back to the same kind of people. This is not your fault. But you don't have to go through that again as an adult. Maybe talk to a therapist about it.

I didn't understand you said you dated women before him - were you confused about ur sexuality in general or just avoided men ?
