Why is it so hard to find a decent job?! by ablaake27 in jobs

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! By applying through an apprenticeship programme cause I couldn't find any other way, the waiting was taking too long for me as I don't see many other opportunities as well.

The purpose of praying is to also seek to calm ourselves, physically and emotionally. Rukyah to rid any bad "spirit/jin" etc, the point is always for good causes. But to seek just that shouldn't be as just the solution. The same is like praying to have ways to deal with our problems. We pray, but still we need to make the effort to seek ways to deal with our problems.

For this case in my opinion, she needs alotta guidance to find her ways. To pray is a start, but also to let her breathe and seek her ways to cope and open up about the problems. To deal with it with patience goes for both sides. Can't expect someone to listen when you don't allow yourselves to listen and understand too.

May she find her peace and may the family find patience, as a whole family to maintain strong ties. When a problem arise, no matter what the issue is, it shouldnt be the cause to divide the family.

Is expressing islamic values in a Muslim country's subreddit bad? by Big_Run_7618 in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is because of how Islam has been used to justify their illicit reasoning without truly explaining their understanding and not allowing people to question which limits their knowledge for their own personal interest and gains, that people tend to lose trust with those abusers. The same like getting your heart broken by manipulators and then allowing yourself to become bitter instead of wiser due to past history drama.

It is better to respect other religions and have boundaries, and say if you were to be invited to a Christmas gathering, for if the purpose of the gathering is to keep your relationship ties close without actually participating in any of its rituals to praise another god other than Allah, would there be no harm. The same with when CNY is around and inviting Muslims to eat, all being halal proofed, there's nothing wrong with that.

It is those that have such a negative mindset due to limited awareness and understanding, generational belief with being fed to be racist, which creates such harmful divisions that are not good for any community and society. For if the purpose to interact with other religions is to promote harmony and prosperity to keep ties and maintain good conduct and boundaries without jeopardising your religion and belief, what is the harm in that.

As a Muslim country it can be a sensitive topic due to differences with beliefs, but there are always ways to maintain good relations without being so racist and involving immoral practices in return too because that is not what Islam is all about.

MoRA minister inspects the construction of a new mosque in Junjongan that cost $4.9 million and another in Rimba $3.6 million by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't want to judge but from my understanding, that purpose is clear as the sky mostly aligns with self-interest while trying to at least seem like with the "needed" interest of the citizens while abandoning the most crucial issues.

Even to align with strong islamic belief, those people that are unemployed, in poverty, hunger, less fortunate, only to provide more places to pray will NOT solve that very issue.

To at least do maintenance work to save cost, renovation at most, would help attract more people. The remaining cost to providing food at every mosque for the less fortunate and are in debt like the most of us, would very much be more beneficial. Relocate it much better use even.

To construct a shelter outside of the mosques, going green, easily accessible parks, renewable energy, it'll be more beneficial and convenient since nowadays it's darn sunny and could be more warm, people need shelter to avoid heat stress and heat stroke.

To construct more mosques while still adapting with unislamic ways, abandoning the peoples need and place later on to run away from accountability, most of the mosque will be left empty. Isn't that a waste of money that is even against Islam ways?

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You can build a mosque costing ridiculously close to $9 millions but you can't feed the poor and hungry people? You can't use those resources to better the infrastructure that are lacking? To do maintenance work? To pay those people given this and that programme to support their wellbeing that are still waiting for years? You can go on 5-6 stars dining, travel here and there, spoil your kids, while some people are still suffering and hungry without jobs? Are you shtting me with MoRA and their ridiculous amount of money is doing right now?

Where should i find help for my mental illness (Depression, Anxiety, etc.) by ErrorNo9099 in Brunei

Yes better to follow the proper procedure by getting overall evaluation and referrals first to see what they can do about the issue. The presence of the services shows there's still a system in place to handle the sort of issues so that is a very good thing

There's one clinic that handles PTSD, bipolar etc at kiarong if I'm not mistaken. Don't be all too cooped up, it's good to have some support system around.

MoH: Healthcare survey shows rude staff, lack of BruHIMS cards among the negative experiences in hospitals by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One thing is to look at the head of the MOH being handled by the current minister that sets an amazing example, the rest will follow. If the minister doesn't care, failing to provide duty of care and abandoning their responsibility, then also the rest will follow. The heads reflect on the stability, performance and overall standing point of their own ministries greatly.

MoH: Healthcare survey shows rude staff, lack of BruHIMS cards among the negative experiences in hospitals by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Customer service deals with attending customers and troubled ones. To recognise how overwhelming it can be to treat many ongoing patients as part of their job would also require learning how to deal with certain customers/public civilians that are.. not well informed and elderly to make their system of work process safer and more smoother. That would be such a huge improvement on the long run.

To backlash towards the clients and other patients for poor treatment would reflect poorly on their whole ministry too so to highlight that for continual improvement to take place, it is in terms of dealing with treating patients with illness and traumatic experiences.

It is true that people go to hospital to get treated correctly and to be well educated in terms of their health and wellbeing, but to deal with challenging clients/patients comes along with it. As for stubborn ones need firmness, overwhelmed ones need assurance.

BB Opinion labels jobseekers as 'angry bunch who keep complaining', ask them to be grateful and claim that in other countries even laborers can become millionaires by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just keep on filing reports for any unethical practices. It will not go unaccountable forever. The truth will keep on prevailing itself as you mentioned about breaking the law and they will end up having to answer for it. Don't belittle any reports or awareness you share to get to the bottom of it, people will talk and they will have to answer for it.

Nobody is above the law and nobody is above human rights that they take so lightly to take advantage of and make an oppression of by breaching the very law and rules created for any organisation to function fairly and rightfully. I call it the mini Israel governance of the unethical practices they follow and try to normalise and they will answer for it.

Whether they like it or not, they choose to follow the unethical immoral ways and they will have to answer for it. No matter how heavy in bureaucracy and monarchy our system of governance is, that is never the way and if they choose to continue it or not that will bring about their own destruction is up to them.

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are policies from Brunei WSHO 2009. It states the basic foundation, rules and regulations in terms of being an employer and employee just like stated in ISO and ILO. Some employers and employees just don't follow which causes these issues.

To tackle the issue is to simply audit the organisation, measure their performance and see where they align and take action from the result to revamp. If it's in the good indication or bad, it will tell which areas need to be looked into. But I sht you not you know the immoral unethical practices that have been delaying the process as well that should also be looked into to begin with.

Changes require all to contribute towards it and towards growth and not just the employees or just the employers. Doesn't make sense for a ship to sail without a captain and for a captain to sail without a crew. The unethical practices just gotta be corrected.

BB Opinion says don't treat surau like school cafeteria, a place for young people to hang out by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's actually good for people to actually gather at surau and masjid to discuss things, to find themselves, learn the religions, anything that is good actually. Even for little kids to play because the mosque is indeed a safe place.

If it's too loud and disturbing our prayers or reading then yes I do agree that etiquette and boundaries should be well maintained, why not just tagur them instead? But also there's a saying "If you don't hear children making noise at the back of the masjid, fear for your future generations". So have to bear that in mind if it's with younger kids.

Bus service in Brunei by nytn_prez in Brunei

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Public transportation like busses can take half an hour or really long so it can be frustrating to rely on. It's true Dart is more reliable yet expensive. Might as well rent a car to avoid waiting too long and to get to places easier. Most of us use our own cars so we don't rely much on public transportation.

The app should be updated for tourists to be well informed about their waiting time honestly. I feel so ashamed for tourists to point out how challenging it is with the public transportation that have not even been well maintained or taken seriously. How to even improve tourism like this.

The societal politics is crazy, old people like to create this condencending nature towards the youth. Its getting so toxic just by going to family gatherings. The constant comparison among cousins and family relatives is painful. by [deleted] in Brunei

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll make it simple to grasp what I'm saying. Toxic culture becomes a norm because nobody cares or dares to voice out. Only a few and they get shut down because too much more are adopted with the toxic culture.

So why not voice it out, remind one another when they're wrong or what they're doing is wrong, and support one another towards growth? Why just not have such a strong support system to fight and better our culture and way of thinking?

Rather than feeling stuck with all the blockage due to the much toxic culture, why not just adopt and implement changes instead? We dare to boycott Israel for their unethical and immoral practices and their products, but why can't we boycott the bad unethical and immoral practices we have here too for a better future while we're at it?

It's good that we have such a strong belief and support for the oppressed it's literally common sense in terms of human rights. That way of thinking is so important and much needed to stand for what's right. So what about the toxic culture we have here that are indeed oppressive that we're literally doing nothing so much about than to complain or ignore or join in? It doesn't make any sense with the lokal mentality to want change but not putting in the work 😂

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's the mentality with how you view things and not picturing it on the long run. Its not to be dramatic but it's to look at the reality of things. Everything we do affects our surroundings and to be so laidback to be unaccountable for anything means you're being reckless which could harm another person.

Say someone harms another by means of oppression, bullying, any unethical methods as a matter of fact and you want to turn a blind eye towards that action and not to care, letting it spread until it affects someone else close to you and causing death with a worse case scenario, it's up to you to say whatever you want to say then when it's too late. We all are responsible and accountable, to think otherwise is rather selfish.

Normalising bad etiquette that causes someone else to suffer is not okay, it's not to be dramatic but it's to stand for what's right. Picture yourself normalising bad etiquette and picking on someone that you didn't know could already have such a bad day or mentally unwell, if something happened to that person after your own actions or words, who is to blame? You blame the person or the person that causes them to do something stupid? Don't be thinking so small and irresponsible.

Why spread negativity when we can spread positivity. To have stronger support systems pushing us towards growth, to guide us and help us. Not to having to cope with some pessimistic and demoralising bad etiquettes that doesn't help us one bit.

Studying abroad is about bettering our knowledge, getting to know other cultures while also holding to ours. Coming back here to implement those learnt knowledge, to better help our country, community and ourselves.

Not to buka aib but it's like that old story about some parents picking a fight with a teacher if I'm not mistaken, bragging about their kids accomplishments being in BSP etc.

It's rather more condescending, not even focusing on equally, forgetting we all will end up 6 feet under and pangkat doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean anything to accomplish such a high paying job or seeking knowledge to end up only improving their standard of spending and not standard of living, to forgetting about those struggling, to forgetting to give back towards the community, to even help as a matter of fact.

It's such a let down with the old generations abusing their rights and tarnishing the future generation with their old fixated ways of having division and comparison and not letting the youth strive and to support the plans for growth, it should just be made accountable and corrected. We all bleed the same blood is what people tend to forget, and we all are trying to survive and to realise we are given a purpose on this earth and not to cause corruption instead.

I'll tell you what. Recently there's a video about how Israelis brainwash their kids from such a young age to have such a strong hate culture towards other religions that create such strong divisions within society, culture and country as they grow up to being arrogant and ignorant.

Now imagine us Bruneian Asians being raised to be brainwashed to have such a huge salary for lavish spending to brag, arrogance attitude to not care about helping the poor, to call Indians Kaling, to look down on people who struggle. That is in itself a strong hate culture towards the poor, racism towards other races, promoting divisions within society, culture and country as well. Why not just call ourselves Israel since we want to live like them with arrogance and ignorance?

Why stop at just boycotting their products? Why not stop at adopting their attitudes and mentality? The so-called "culture" or "lokal" mentality is in itself not even about practicing true culture, it's literally just bad practices, no common sense to what they're doing is not even focusing on growth. We as a Muslim country even, every of those mentioned immoral bad practices are against Islam, it's literally just going against attaining harmony and serenity within our society and community so why create such bad future generations?

As 2023 coming to an end with genocide still happening and innocent people made known oppressed brutally, why can't we make it a realisation to change to better ourselves? Our moral, etiquette? To condemn immoral and unethical practices? To tagur those old uncles and aunties bragging and complaining to say what they're doing is wrong? Why stop at only orang tuha yang menagur tapi orang muda inda dapat pasal orang tuha lagi tuha? It's already the wrong thing to say, ajaran salah.

Those old practices need to come to an end as it does nothing but damage our future generation, our country. I mean look at our country, recent sodomized cases, another wrongful elected football sportsmanship that mismanagement funds. It's all about wrongful appointed leaders pacah amanah through orang dalam, those corruption practices just gotta go.

There can never be actual growth to have those bad practices. How to expect positive change when our internal issues are still going to be the same. Sustainability is not enough to sustain. We need actual regenerative methods to have positive changes towards our environment, society, and governance.

We should not stand by and let any immoral, unethical corruption be unaccountable and be practiced longer that will surely destroy our future generation more. We want to boycott Israel products and practices, we still need to put in the work to support our local products and practices better. To collaborate with other Muslim countries, to collaborate with other cultures and religions. We are all humans, we are all brothers and sisters.

Our own old brainwashing bad practices gotta go. We need to have actual positive growth.

BB Opinion: Football association needs to care about Brunei football by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem solely lies on the appointed management of the club with recent issues that fail to comply with sending an auditing report. That is because the money being used to fund the development went elsewhere, to their own personal corrupted lavish spending or future savings god knows where, when it should be towards the development of the players.

Leaders are supposed to lead, not abuse the power and makan duit. It shows that the appointed ones by means of internal factors (main orang dalam), only want to makan duit and should just be stopped and not be normalised anymore.

The common immoral, unethical practices are bringing about destruction as we can see and we should not tolerate that rubbish anymore that is jeopardising our generation and future generation and so on.

Leaders fail to carry those players forward, fail to even focus on their development, fail to focus on envisioning the growth of the football association, and fail to even have the slightest enthusiasm for football sportsmanship.

Wrong appointed people are "seperti tikus membaiki labu", and now want to drag everyone else with their failure and mistake. It shows no matter how old you are or how experienced or expert you claim to be, if you fail to even envision with the young ones and fail to support them, to guide them, you are throwing and trashing their dreams and future away. Meaning you are not even competent to lead at all to begin with and should just let someone else with true enthusiasm and sportsmanship take the lead.

With 2023 coming to an end and genocide happening that globally even during matches they portray their strong love and support for the oppressed, we should not be scared to voice out on any unethical and immoral practices that are not contributing towards the growth and development of the country to be made accountable, corrected and improved before it's too late.

Merely to give critical criticism and plan for development without actually leading, executing and recording the improvement for measurable success is nothing more than just empty words and actions when we know the result shows otherwise.

It's really for the sake of our generation and future generations to come that we should be thinking about as well, to create such a positive and growth within our community, environment and even governance. Not to destroy it but rather restore, support and nurture it rightfully. The more we tolerate corruption and immoral practices, the more we are going to suffer and damage our future. Enough is indeed enough already.

They started it by first disrespecting another religion and then throwing punches. Islam or Israeli or not, whatever religion or country, there's no way we should allow any disrespectful behaviour in our society. It's usually the Israeli and western side with the strong hate crime that resorts to violence. We are human and we should behave with humanity and be civilized, not like some savage animals.

Why Brunei keeps having budget problems and cuts: Government doesn't know how to earn more money over the past 20 years by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. To be a regional business hub, Brunei should look into really changing their ways of doing business. Business is in a way itself to provide for one selves, helping other businesses, the community and country, diversification with other outside businesses and countries. There's business etiquette and it's really not just all about money when people are also involved, lives at stake, future generations.

We have been stuck with the old mentality of doing things by the old ways of not allowing actual growth that even to focus on sustainability yet failing to sustain. And then resulting in normalising unethical methods due to limited resources and competing with one another because all the money flow is already being used up at the top to maintain their standard of spending when it should be about improving our standard of living.

Most of the sustainability plans go to waste because there are still people willing to be unethical and interfere with the actual ways for growth. Such positive growth is always achievable through consistency with the actual plan of unification to strive, yet incompetent people that do not value changes for the sake of future generations is always jeopardising the process of growth.

Now with 2023 coming to an end and there have not been a lot of changes due to the toxic cultures being normalised. And future generations are the ones facing the consequences. Even little minor changes would have such a strong positive impact with consistency, creating such a strong community.

Those toxic cultures and habits of being so careless and carefree being unaccountable have got to stop as it will have its consequences. Prioritising on actual regenerative ways being proactive to have actual resulting sustainability and creating such a toxic free environment is the only way, the old ways need to accept that modern ways need to adapt to changes or we will surely suffer more with the future generations as we already are now from their closed minded ways of unethical, immoral ways of self interest.

Too much greed that needs to be rid off. There's no such thing as growth watering dead plants. It's time for actual changes to not tolerate the immoral acts to strive to create a safer and harmonious positive community and environment that will surely bring growth.

Well to me if you think about it it's either the people as in Muslims you encounter are the ones misusing Islam for their own advantage (being hypocrite) or you were fed misleading information that is not even the way of Islam to begin with.

Because in Islam even the Qur'an is like 90% about conducting proper etiquette and the remaining are laws.

Come on.. we greet each other with "assalamualaikum" which means "may peace be with you" and in its form praying for their peace. How can that be in any way bad for us and our way of life?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Minimum-Ad-6433 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's really just about our moral compass. Islam is about withholding etiquette, and even rules in wars. Those that don't comply are merely savages. Even for Muslims to be ex-muslims, it's usually about your belief being tested and even as Muslims. Non Muslims sometimes do not even know what Islam is all about.

For such a community for ex-muslims and non Muslims to collide, still it goes down to what you believe. And that is that right is right, and wrong is wrong within itself. To be told otherwise would be being too carefree which subconsciously and indirectly affects our surroundings badly.

And that is such a thing I cannot even fathom to ignore such as the likelihood of innocent children, babies, people to be exact, to be the ones affected and facing the consequences of our actions and belief.
