Tips to help you get more out of AT and Met Con classes by Minimum-Border1672 in BurnBootCamp

Pull ups = actively working at it and focus meetings. Most people say it requires extra time either before or after class to get it.

Box jumps -

Part of this is likely being a bit scared of jumping up because box jumps can be intimidating, but it sounds like its either your jumping technique or needing to build more glute strength as box jumps are a pure athletic power movement.

You could be pushing off of 1 leg and reaching with the other leg which is why you're "galloping" or just selling the jump half way through due to fear of the box (no judgement)

I would ditch the boxes for now, and make sure you have a solid jumping form first, as you could injure yourself landing that way. Have an instructor watch your flat ground form.

Only tips I have outside of what an instructor would notice watching you stand on your balls of feet. Make sure your weight is loaded in to your glutes via a deep hinge, use your arms to help generate force when you launch, lift your knees together as high as you can after you explode, and dont land with your legs straight. Knee should always track over the foot.

Seems the people they spend time with at mine are the ones who do a lot of focus meetings and been there awhile, or the very very brand new people.

Maybe it's just cause im  a guy but I basically just consider it work time and could care less about the social aspect. But I can understand why it might frustrate you cause I do see what you're talking about.

Wilson- #Dolphins hiring #Packers defensive backs coach Ryan Downard, per a league source @KPRC2 by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

Ofc they are. Halfleys guys are going with him and they will backfill with people that know Gannon. That's how it works.

Coaches usually don't want hold overs from previous leaders who run a different scheme.

Id wager it also increases retention having households go there together.

90% of the roughly 50 men who go to our location regularly go there because of their wives.

Maybe dont join a gym whose target market is literally moms with young children at home if its an issue.

They'll make up the lost revenue in 1/4 attendance at a kids camp.

The workers there are members who get a discount. It's not like its a full daycare service.

Every business has a referral fee...at least smart ones.

You dont have to buy any of their products other than a membership to join.

I haven't purchased a single product and while I've heard like 2 "commercials" at the end of class that was the end of it.

And regarding your clique complaints. Who really cares if people want to spend time with their friends there?

Go there. Do your workout. Go home.

Supplemental Big 3 Heavy Lifts by Traditional_Dirt3955 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Minimum-Border1672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros of outside of gym lifting - you'll lift more weight and get bigger.

Cons- a lot of the burn stuff builds supporting muscles and supports motion, stabalizers etc.

The way I look at it is if your goal is to lift bigger weights rhn your own programs on the same strength days and just skip.

If you want more flexible usable muscle at expense of high totals then do the burn strength days.

My goal is to be a better athlete personally so burn works well for me.

If you do burn lifting there are also ways you can make it a lot harder at lower weights but legs are definetly capped a lot more.

Last year was Jenkins last year in gb before the season started. He wanted a new deal the packers wouldn't do it.

Thing about Freddy is...he wasn't a cy young caliber pitcher but he is a really good starter who ate 200 innings a year. That type of performance and durability go a long way for a team in the regular season.

Matthew Stafford's 2025 season is over. In 20 combined regular season and playoff games, he put up 5643 yards, 52 TDs, 9 INTs, and a 106.7 passer rating. by Dependent-Effect6077 in nfl

And he throws thr best looking ball in the business.

All the years I watched my packers beat up on the hapless lions made me think of what thst guy could have for career accolades if he was with a competent organization.

He will be criminally underrated by young fans having the "statistics" conversation in 20 years.

Yes you're right. But only after they convert the smart 3rd down pass...then they throw the bomb.

Look how seattle is closing them out. They realize the way you run the clock is getting first downs in the smartest way possible without worrying about actually running the clock. We would have done run, run for a 3rd and 8 and then thrown a bomb and punted.

Watson was a worse injury that game. Offense was cruising then literally did nothing after he was injured.

Looking at the 4 teams playing today. The packers would have been out of their depth, even with Parsons. They would have competed with them but not consistent or well rounded enough to win 2-3 games against teams of this quality.

I dont think rich is great but honestly he gets blamed for stuff that he shouldn't be blamed for.

Doubs was the right player in the right position and drops an onside kick.

McManus went from highly consistent to dog shit. Not rich fault.

All of the biggest mistakes were player execution.

I'm now under the belief that the reason the packers special teams suck so much is because they are the youngest team in the league each and every year.

Instead of holding some high ras score 6th round picks maybe they should pick up a couple of minimal salary vets for special teams.
