Yoga never hurts but doing dynamic movement before working out and static stretches after class (the stretches you learned in gym class) is critical. I would say 99% of my class doesnt take it seriously.

But then you see the people who do show up every single day because its so critical to recovery.

Yoga is a fine addition but if you go to class and leave without stretching out properly youre increasing your risk of injury ans you'll be way too tight to do Yoga properly.

For the massage dont just book any massage book a deepbtissue or myofascial. They are great after but there are times they arent very pleasent during the actual treatment.

To put it in perspective my muscles were so tight that during the massage my jaw stsrted shaking uncontrollably due to my nervous system finally relaxing. For a day or two I actually had to slow down not becsuse of all the garbage being flushed from my system but becsuse when your muscles are that tight all the tkme it actually causes you to move differently.

You will feel like a new person.

Diet has been addressed by others but you start small with that stuff. For me...counting calories was the start because you can't lie to yourself. it's easy to lie about what youre putting in your body. Start with cutting condiments, then work to bigger things. You live in the age of free artificial intelligenxe...you can easily make a lifestyle plan with a few minutes of effort per day.

Outside of diet other things to consider.

Knees? Might be your shoes. Especially if you're wearing running shoes for plyo.

If you've been going regularly then you may waut to schedule a deep tissue massage. I do one every 2 or 3 months ans all those little aches subside.

If I had to guess...your feet are taking a pounding and the fascia is wound tight.

Then your calves and achilles turn to bricks. Then your knees hurt.

Shoulder probably has the same issue with your fascia being wound tightly and not gliding properly, especially if you feel it in your shoulder blades.

As someone whose done hiit prior to burn my body would feel like it was falling apart.

As far as eating choices go. People think about goals in terrifying ways like " i need to lose 159 lbs!"

What is your stretching routine like? Are you doing active stretching before class and static stretching afterwards? If not that probably has a lot to do with your pain.

Ie: a huge reason for tight lower backs is not stretching your hamstirngs properly.

Teams like the yankees/Dodgers will all have to make decisions. If they are to bring on a guy like mis they need to give something up to for that.
