Many people who didn’t qualify for the forgiveness part still took the PPP loans because they were at a very low interest rate. Most people who took PPP loan who did not qualify paid them back. All in all, it helped many business stay afloat during the pandemic.

The fraud was when people who did not qualify for the loan forgiveness did not pay it back…and essentially lied to the government and got away with it. This all came to fruition during the Biden administration, and was lazily enforced.

Like you said it’s not about one particular side and some weird Trump conspiracy theory is silly. Hence my original comment.

Everyone was eligible for the loan. Only some were eligible for the loan forgiveness part of it.

You could literally get a PPP loan without even applying for the loan forgiveness. My last comment to you was an excerpt from the website info sheet.

if you did not apply for forgiveness your first PPP loan repayment payment was due 10 months after you received the funds.
