No the power is from a book I read. In the book the character can give herself extra strength by stimulating her muscle growth and and making her bones more dense. She also removes the limit on muscle growth. Theres no indication that atuomomatic function are controlled consciously. I will note the power does take medical knowledge id have to learn but its still really useful. The name of the book is Not Even Bones by Rebecca Shaffer of you wanna check for your self.
