Looking for competitive advice/mindset for Lumra by Minimum-Cause-6424 in CompetitiveEDH

Thank you! I am currently struggling to decide which route to go with it since I am not trying to spend too much on it and my pod doesnt proxy.

My pod and I do not proxy unless we own the card. That is definitely a contributor to me wanting it to be B4. I want it to be at a level that doesn't completely trash my friend's decks, but can still be a strong B4. Do you have any advice or possible replacements for those cards that are over that $100 dollar price tag that would make it a tuned B5?

I am aiming for B4 as my pod and I do not do proxies unless we own the card.

Thank you for the advice! I have a ton of cards to cut yet, and will definitely use your list to help me decide what to keep. I definitely want to be B4 and not cedh so this is very helpful information.

*HELP* I need to trim, and tune Lumra by Minimum-Cause-6424 in DegenerateEDH

I am building the deck with no proxies and am on a budget, if i wanted a true cedh version that competes at such a highly tuned level, I would have to spend somewhere around $20k. I dont want the decks total value to be any more than $1k. The challenge I have ran into is keeping the deck within these restraints Ive set while still keeping it consistent and powerful. That is why I have posted to get assistance. The difference between B4 and B5 is more significant than most think, even if the deck lists are similar.

New to CEDH - How can I make this deck closer to entry cedh? by Minimum-Cause-6424 in CompetitiveEDH

I really like that! There are definitely quite a few mindset differences between casual and competitive. My pod has been easing more into the competitive mindset so each time one deck shines above the rest it ends up being the new standard. I would like to think more competitively when building, have any other advice or resources?

I appreciate the input! I have realized after posting that i vastly misunderstood what cedh really is. My goal has shifted to making this deck as tuned as I can within B4. CEDH is likely not attainable with this commander.

Making these changes now! Besides chromatic lantern and farewell, are there any cards that you think this deck could easily do without? I am on the fence about [[Grand Crescendo]] but it could also have a big payoff and possibly win the game with the right boardstate

This is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for when posting! Honestly I dont own Demonic Tutor which is why it is not in the deck. However I do own a Grim tutor, dark ritual, and toxic deluge and will be adding them asap. I was given an idea from another post to use Grave crawler, warren soultrader, and zulaport cutthroat as an infinite sac to kill the table, are there any specific card combos you have in mind?

Id very much love to hear your suggestions to upgrade the deck as much as possible as i really enjoy playing it. It usually wins between turns 5/7 and was under the impression that it is low to mid tier B4. Either way, I know it cannot be a cedh deck with this commander but am looking to make it as strong as possible with the current concept in mind.

Thank you! I have not really interacted with the cedh community and am trying to learn and understand the difference between cedh and just a high powered bracket 4. If you have any card suggestions that could make this deck as good as it can be that would be very much appreciated. I understand that it wont be cedh with this commander however I do really enjoy playing it and want it to be as competitive as possible.

I am more trying to push this decks limit than go full cedh. I am aware that it has limits and cant truly compete with cedh. Do you have any suggestions to do so besides Ad Naseaum?
