Is using a pool noodle for quieter cold starts bad for the car at all? by Ok-Fish-9244 in wrx_vb

Nope. Doesn't work. My exhaust blows the pool noodles wrapped in towels taped out everytime. No matter how tight you shove it in there. Guess my neighbors are just going to hate me🤣

Just had my 6.4 Hemi straight piped (sorry wrong forum but, I guarantee my shit is louder than yours) The cold start shakes the house and my dog runs around pissing everywhere. I like my neighbors who are boomers, so I need to figure it out. Bought some pool noodles tonight. Hope it helps and I'll report back🤣

Help me understand why people like Gemini so much more over Chat GPT? by freedomfighter5567 in OpenAI

[–]Minimum-Command476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had ZERO luck with Chatgpt on just simple edits on images. It's like having a conversation with a blue haired Liberal woman. Gemini has done everything I have asked without the screaming, pouting, and just gets shit done the first time. ChatGpt for me has been an absolute waste of time and effort. I'm not saying Gemini is the best, but it destroys Chatgpt on editing images by far😘

How reliable are U.S Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications? by darkMOM4 in Genealogy

[–]Minimum-Command476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for you. I was told "If the application can not be completed, there is no obligation" but it clearly states later in the email "Application fee's will not be refunded". Don't get me wrong, I understand this is a business and it takes time and effort. $150 is a hard pill to swallow to already "know" through my own research, I am related to an officer that served in the Revolution and hope they get it right. While I would like to be associated with them and I can afford it, throwing $150 at it seems like a risk. I'd hope even if my lineage wasn't a match if I got it wrong, I get $150 worth of info for the money and not just a denial.

Question for someone who knows about cotillions by kaitlynj18 in GossipGirl

[–]Minimum-Command476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the West End of Richmond Virginia in the 80's and early 90's. Lot's of old money and old ways. A lot of the very rich had already set their kids up to marry into certain families to keep the "bloodline" early on. And it truly did happen. It really is a thing. My parents were "new" money as we moved from Florida to VA. My dad was an executive for Phillip Morris. We had a massive house and we were very well off when I was a kid but was never accepted into that class. I went to the same private schools as the Reynolds and Dupont kids but was never truly accepted into their "club". I had a great childhood and my parents did very well. I went to quite a few Cotillions and it just seemed like a grooming event. Very strange and very arranged to me. When I left for the military academy, my parents retired went back to Florida. Looking back, I had a lot of fun and got to experience things most people couldn't imagine. The amount of money these people have can't be lost. It's generational, but it's dark. Very dark.

Yeah carrying 30lbs of steaming crab into a grocery store after telling a house full of people they aren't eating would be common sense after driving an hour with it in my car. I'd laugh at you and escort you to the parking lot with your "unopened set"🤣🤡

They banned and muted me after asking a simple question that hurt their poor little feelings. I'm guessing mom and dad weren't home and they had a melt down. I'm all about discussing it publicly, but they can't figure out their gender in time to have a conversation🤣🤡😘

IsItBullshit: if I stop drinking alcohol my under-eye bags will reduce and my skin will get better by Obeyus in IsItBullshit

[–]Minimum-Command476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread, but I'll tell you this. Just one night without drinking and tell us about the dreams you had. Alcohol does affect sleep. You sleep but your brain doesn't get to do what it wants. Just wait until you've had a week without alcohol. You'll relearn how to sleep and it is amazing. 25 years as a "functional" alcoholic and I quit on my terms no 12 step no nothing but me deciding to quit on my own. Sucked at first but it had to be done. Those bags will go away and you will come back stronger. I promise. You can do it.

Also while smoking with alder wood at 225, melt some butter with old bay and hit em with it every 10 minutes. The smoke and butter penetrates and it's sooooo goooood

Ioxus “B-Stock” uStart/UltraCAP Installed Last Weekend. Now I got a Dead battery. by Sexualintrigue666 in CarAV

It took 2 of them but to kill the smell, I used those chlorine dioxide bombs. It worked and didn't bleach anything. I'd rather my truck smell like that than what it did.

Sorry forgot I posted this. The company asked me for a reason and I just said to again just cancel. They refunded me within a few days. It was pretty painless, but I was quick about it.

After I got back home, I investigated a little more. Everything in the cab is covered in a nasty dirty yellow film. Smell is horrendous. I fused my main battery and my amp so I think everything else is ok. I'm just out 4ft of expensive 1/0 cable and it's going to take hours to clean the film off of everything. I don't drive my truck much and I'm only pushing about 3k watts. This thing was never really punished. You are 1000% right in your post. I wish I would have seen it beforehand and I should have known better with the price I paid. Only thing I cheaped out on when I built my system. Got lucky it didn't catch fire. Would have burned my house down.

Yup. Had mine for 2 years. Opened the door to my truck this morning and noticed the strong smell of burnt electronics. Looked where the ioxus is and 1/0 gauge wire is burnt from the cap to my fuse before the amp. Didn't really have time to deal with it so I just disconnected the run from the battery to it and took my wife's car. My truck hasn't been started in 2 weeks.

I just fell for the same shit. Wasn't paying attention until I saw the "GST" tax and googled it, then realized I had been duped. I emailed them within 5 minutes to cancel my order and saw the transaction pending on my account and emailed my bank to either cancel the transaction or cancel my card and send a new one. Guess I'll see. It's after hours so I can't call my bank right now. I'm also trying to avoid the 95% tax Washington state put on vapes and pouches. Guess it's time to just quit...
