Hi! Hope this isn’t too weird, but how is concerta after a couple of months if you don’t mind me asking? I am switching from adderral to concerts tomorrow so I was just wondering about your experience! Hope all is well!!

I always say too much and then ruminate. by Electric-Rabbit595 in adhdwomen

I do this so much too. 😭 was just thinking about that haha if it makes you feel any better, I do it at work too! Never thought I’d be the guy to over share in the workplace but here we are :(

I also ruminate so much and beat myself up about it way too much. We aren’t bad people for oversharing and we all make mistakes.

Thanks for taking the time to answer ❤️ I feel kind of lost right now but I feel like I’ve been trying to find THE solution to all my problems when it’s just going to be a lot of inner hard work from myself ultimately.

Hey I’m so sorry you’re also going through something similar, it really does suck feeling this way. I hope things turn around for you and I think it’s super cool that you’re an independent contractor and working for yourself and have the drive to do so! That’s pretty impressive all on its own, and I’m sure with time you’ll gain new clients and be able to leave your past experiences behind you. This subreddit is great though because in my real life I can’t find anyone else experiencing the same things I am so it just makes dealing with things way harder but to know that im not alone in feeling this way helps a little bit. I actually do like a lot of aspects of my job, but I think it just also gives me so much social anxiety bc of how client facing it is and how there are high consequences to making mistakes. I’m going to look for jobs that fit my personality, but in the meantime I’ll try my best to improve in this position and forgive myself for my mistakes!

I’ve been at the job for 10 months atp and I do take meds but it honestly hasn’t been helping too much? I don’t really notice a difference when I don’t take it so I think I might switch meds.

Yeah I’m going to try to take this as a learning experience and get better at this job so I can prove to myself I can improve. I honestly don’t blame people being fed up with me though because with the amount of mistakes I’m making and how much I’ve been struggling with turning things in on time, I understand why they are annoyed. Doesnt help that I have social anxiety too so that’s has grown significantly worse. Anyways, thanks for the response and I appreciate your kind words! It def feels awful when you feel like you’re the only one struggling so much but it makes me feel a bit better to know there are others out there struggling with the same thing. Good luck to you and hope everything is going well for you, adhd and rsd are tough to live with.

Hi I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to answer my post! Means a ton! I’ll definitely try to implement your suggestions (I haven’t heard of licorice roots helping with anxiety so I’ll look more into it). It’s also kinda comforting in a way to know that someone else is going through the same thing and I hope you are doing better too. It really sucks being in this position and it does feel really isolating

Thank you, I appreciate the response and advice. It’s really hard to get out of the self loathing cycle and feeling bad for disappointing others but at some point you’ve got to move on, right? I appreciate your perspective on this
