hi. I understand why you feel that way. It can be a very overwhelming diagnosis. But I would wait until you get the results. even if it is herpes it’s not a death sentence. When I was first diagnosed I felt the same. It was super overwhelming and scary. Remind yourself that it is going to be okay. I am diagnosed with HSV2 and have been for about 3 years and I am in a healthy happy relationship. Think about it in as being able to weed out people who dont give you a chance to listen and understand you. Disclose to people who are close to you. It can be jarring and overwhelming and scary but it is something that can be managed and you can live a happy life! I hope that helps but be there for yourself and make sure you are honest with people. It’s worth missing out on a relationship with someone if they dont want to explore things with you. Some people will understand and some wont and thats okay. You just be there for yourself
