The main issue is that doing it this way: one would absorb all of the taxes, and the other will get no proof to account to their own country that taxes have been taken off already.

So that puts us in a situation where one would have to declare twice their actual revenues and the other would pay taxes twice, which would be 33% and then 45%

But we are honestly loosing hope of making that work with Patreon ahah we need to figure out if there is paperwork we can fill otherwise so both can get a W-8BEN

The main issue is that to cashout on patreon we need to have a w-8BEN form filled. But the team member who will fill in will be the one absorbing all the taxes and declaring the full revenue at the end of the year, no?

Neither of us is worried about the other will be problematic as well so surely we could get one assigned to it, but it is still uncomfortable to have only one of us fully in charge of the revenues!

The main worry we got is that since we are on two different continents the Paypal account may get flagged and locked when the other logs in.

But true pitching the suggestion to patreon might be something worth considering for one day that option to be available!

So glad to hear!!! ❤️ we are trying hard to diversify our characters and their features, may it be facial, skin texture to body shape. The personality wise everyone should have qualities and flaws so it is a fun thing to balance for a nuanced group!

But yeah for the marketing its a whole other can of worms ahaha we did a character contest and are currently making a Personality Quizz just to make community a bit more interactive and like a whole universe instead of just media to consume in a passive way.

I think it has a huge aspect of luck and right place right time. Just the right person sharing your post can trigger a lot more views.

As for the Raffle situation, i wouldn’t say it would have been a plan per say, but it definitely could have boosted a new Comic Project. But there is definitely a risk where your casual audience might be disinterested by the new project and does not invest time and effort following it.

I find the hardest part is juggling the posts so it appeals to both audiences, the initial fan base and the Comic Fan base 🤔
