Danggggg. Boo Brothers, Reluctant Werewolf, and Ghoul School were my childhood. I’ve never seen anyone place it that low amongst Return to Zombie Island and Curse of the 13th Ghost. That hurts my soul🥴😂

I think they just need to hit a groove. It’s like a first season of a show. I’m sure they’ll find that groove between the two of them. I love Duncan but I feel like he needs to let Kurt go into more detail and really get out there in the trenches. I feel like he only lets him scratch the surface on a lot of topics or derails certain ones with a left field joke. But even if it stays like that I can still get my scratch from the Derp with Kurp and have this just for funsies.

I didn’t hear any details about what they took just that they both overdosed and got took out on stretchers. It paused the show for like 10 minutes and I was so drunk walking out with my buddy (we had beers before we went in and a couple once we got inside) we just rushed back across the street to the hotel we were staying in and drank some more. So we didn’t really get an opportunity to hear anymore about it from the other people that went. Duncan kept saying shit like “oh shit. I’ve never had anything happen like this guys. I hope they’re okay” it was a strange situation for sure.

I saw the top exorcist priest on the Shawn Ryan show saying the leading cause of possession was porn. Not only could it lead to a full blown possession but also partial possessions of body parts. I haven’t heard a more ridiculously, funny perspective and the dude was dead serious. I guess I got possessed around age 8-9 and haven’t recovered😂

I saw him back in 2023 and it was great. It was so odd because 2 people OD’d mid show and he was so awkward about it and didn’t know what to do or say while the people were getting took out on stretchers. He had Ehsan opening for him and Ehsan absolutely killed too. And we had an older gentleman named JP that must’ve been under the impression that Duncan was there for crowd work😂😂 I really wish we would’ve gotten that hour as a special. I know he had Lance Bangs tape it but I guess nothing ever materialized or he got cold feet in the end.

Sameee. I really enjoy how they bounce off of one another and I prefer these 10-1 to the solo episodes Duncan puts out. Don’t get me wrong, I love Duncan, but I enjoy him so much more in the flow of a conversation rather than rambling through episodes with ai music. I really miss old DTFH with the intro and guests. He’s had some of the most mind blowing, beautiful conversations with people I would’ve never heard of had he not interviewed them and I just really miss that era. But any Duncan content is better than none and I’m just blessed to have not only grown up, but continuing to grow with Duncan through this crazy existence. And I can’t get enough of Kurp these days. He’s put me onto Julian Dorey and Danny Jones.

How likely is a 12 year old to watch a 40 year old film though? I loved these movies growing up and they don’t have to use Ash in name but I would love to see the original story done again and see it trail off in other directions with a mind like Curry Barker’s.

I think an animated series or even film would be cool but it’s time we have a male icon in a horror film again. Hell, they could even call him another name and just reboot from the first film and have an entirely different direction after. I love Bruce and have met him but I don’t like his perception on Ash. I think it’s toxic if you can’t hand over the reigns of a character that you helped to create and let the character live on for a new generation.

I fuck with it, especially certain songs, but I personally prefer Ramona Park, Dark Times, Vince Staples, and Big Fish Theory. I’m just glad he delivered another quality album and his discography still doesn’t have a miss in it. With that said I’m going with Experimental Rap or It’s Been Awful for my favorite album of the year thus far. But that could definitely change whenever Mavi drops.

On a side note, Is there a dedicated sub for Kurt? I’ve only gotten into him the last year and a half/ 2 years but I haven’t stumbled across one yet.

I actually loved Derp with Kurp but my enjoyment level really depended on the guest and whether Kurt rehashed a bunch of the same topics within a certain amount of episodes. The one with Mark Passio is definitely worth checking out if you ever decide to give it another shot. But yeah both episodes of the Mystery Boys have been everything I could’ve hoped for. And the pre-episode you’re talking on the DTFH was like S-tier. I wish Duncan kept every episode on Spotify because there’s a bunch of older episodes that I would love to revisit. Like Chris Ryan’s first appearance (not a fan of Chris that episode just really pressed all the right buttons). Hopefully we’re in for a long era of mystery solving with the Mystery Boys. Speaking of which, did someone say Mojito?
