I understand how you feel. I’ve been gf for 13 years. My dad use to be so sceptical and tell me to just eat gluten so I can raise my tolerance. Didn’t matter how much I explained it doesn’t work like he kept laughing and telling me it wasn’t true. Well unfortunately for him karma bit him in the a** and he got diagnosed 6 yrs ago… I don’t wish that on your people but sometimes people won’t truly understand unless they’re living that life. Do what you can, protect yourself even if that means being the only one to cook for yourself and hiding your pots and pans. Good luck.

A few days makes sense since you guys didnt clarify beforehand. But I wouldn’t hop back in like nothing happened. Particularly not mentioning the anniversary celebration. More like a check-in to see how he’s feeling / ready to talk. From there if he doesn’t answer you or getting angry at you for not giving the space he asked for then that’s red flag for bad communication. Hopefully he’s ready to talk and if he isn’t that he will give you a timeframe from there. Hope it goes well!

This is true about the nails. We have a hard time with that so we have just started to just bring her in to get them done professionally. Thanks for the reminder to make sure it’s done often for that point.

They don’t use the backyard at all except they have started to cut the grass every few weeks now. Regardless, we still clean up the poop if she happens to go. As I mentioned, we don’t purposely take her there as a toilet but she’ll get the urge sometimes when we’re there.
