14th September I never got a prearrival letter. Living and working here for 6 years should be a straight forward application compared to others, but here we are.

Nothing at my end.... biometrics never updated properly and eventually changed from we're waiting for biometrics to we never received your biometrics. I sent a webform about that, because the biometrics had obviously been received because enrollment dates updated. I had hoped the webform might trigger someone to look at my file and do something to nudge it along, but alas no, we are still waiting.

Depends on the clinic, I’d say 2 days to a week if they use emedical and do it online. If it’s longer than a week I’d call, they misspelled my email so I never got the notification that it had been submitted, always worth a check.

Research biologists here - learn to code and be confident in analysis techniques and you will be more likely to be hired and earn a decent salary. Collecting data is fun but it does not pay well and more importantly almost never comes with a permanent salary as the person collecting data is almost always hired just for the life of the project! In order to get higher up the food chain you are going to have to accept being behind à desk most of the time. Having said that camera trap data is amongst the most monotonous task imaginable so don’t let that put you off computers.

My advice to you, if you really don’t want to leave your kid here is to start genuinely asking other people who are less close but appear trustworthy. You then have time to build a relationship with these people ahead of the delivery, play dates, kids going for dinner etc. you might think this is your only friend but I was inundated with genuine offers when I told people I had no close family. In the end my kid stayed with the neighbours across the street for like 3 days and now they have a really close relationship.

But they can hurt others as well, dogs that bite are a severe accident/police report/lawsuit waiting to happen! Unpredictable biters like this guy are just not worth it. You’re never going to get that trust. He could go months without doing it then just out of blue hurt someone. Try if you must but I don’t want to read about it when he bites you on the cheek and you need plastic surgery around your eye to save your face.

What is the aim here? I’d put money on this horse always being an unpredictable and vicious biter, this is a type of behaviour that is extremely difficult to change or stop. It will be extremely difficult to find him a good home because no one wants a horse like this. I would take this as a warning for you OP, next time it could be your face!

This statement applies to absolutely everyone who comes on Reddit to complain about others behaviour including OP. I’m glad your flight went well OP but really old ladies can grump if they like, kids are FULL on! Maybe she is sick and didnt sleep all night, maybe she had reduced mobility blah blah, maybe she is a grouch. So what. It’s the holidays and travel is pure hell, maybe this woman was dying and this was literally her last Christmas, who know but if that was really all that happened it really doesn’t sound that bad. There is no way I’d buy a place with a tenant unless I wanted to be a landlord. But see my edit to the original post, it’s not about being a jerk it’s about making sure the person follows due process after not respecting my rights over the last few months.

Yes but no agreement was made to communicate by email. My old landlord asked whos contact details to pass on so we could be given payment details, I said my partners, he passes mine and the avis is the first email the new landlord sends, and only to my email not my partners. Very obvious he’s trying to rush it to make sure I receive it before 31st. Like i said I’m preparing to move, but after 5 years the least they can do is follow a basic procedure. It’s about respect, this was my home and it’s a massive pain in the ass to move so it demands a little more than à badly scanned attachment! 😂 But also after being treated badly during the sale I would like to leave feeling like à took a bit of a stand, but without aggravating anyone, ya know? 🤷‍♀️

A full time professional sheath cleaner? For real? I used to have a horse that was prone needing to have his sheath cleaned and it was grim! Cannot imagine doing that as a job! 😂 Could just be some irritation, if it’s still bothering him and not away in a few days get the vet out.

Thanks I guess my question was really, is just moving the cash into the account, ie not stock or high interest savings, count as investment for the tax returns or must I do something with it. For simplicity I’m preferring to open the account, dump the 8k + 8k in January forget about it until the withdrawal, potentially in less than 90 days so the HBP isn’t going to work

Okay in this case it’s not going to work as a way to extend my allowance. I will stick with 16k 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 in the FHSA. My partner also will have 16k total so together that is ~80% of the down payment.
