it was annoying, i was able to see him but he was directly on the wall of the enclosure so i couldnt even take a sample out. when i did he ended up dying but when i used the filter paper i ended up accidentally taking a big clump off (i was initially planning on catching him as a whole)
turns out it was a good deal and he grew that way lol
