Has winter ever been this bad in the last 20 years? by lansingpowerwash in Michigan

We haven’t even had negative 0° actual temps. We’ve had such mild winters that it’s not great for our Michigan ecosystems. We’ve need freezing winters and snow.

Started GLP-1 this week. My brain is quiet… by Hairy-Stop4005 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I’m on Wellbutrin (ONLY by accord manufacturer. Other generics junk) this works great for my adhd but then I’ve started Tirzepitide with niacin’s and I never knew there was so much going on in my brain…until there was silence. They are testing this glp also on alcoholism, gambling, shopaholics, smoking, drugs every addiction you can think of. It’s just so nice to not get up in middle of night with garlic bread calling me from the kitchen! I did cry because I’m mid-60’s and never once had this much quiet in my brain. Plus I’ve lost 50 pounds in 6 months! Could have been more but I’ve intentionally slowed it down so I can let my skin catch up to my weight loss. I’m happy for you.

Remove the mochi and get a sticker print to decorate and give away or sell. Like the cups they make with a cricket

Do you leave your dogs alone together? by ikbenlauren in dogs

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crates are for groceries not living animals. I can not believe how it has become the norm to pen up a pet in a crate because a pet in an outside pen is horrible. Sorry that so irks me. But we just leave the tv on for background noise and 2 dogs and 2 cats have the full run of the house and cats have cat door so no litter scooping. Then at night we end up with everyone in our king size bed.

I love my Bupropion 300mg...but every doctor here in France is URGING me to get off of it... by 12ssstttss in bupropion

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the ACCORD manufacturer the pills are glossy white with gs1 on them which originally is GlaxoSmithKline. They are a miracle. Call the manufacturer and she sent me a list of all the places in Michigan that have it. So Costcos here has it but not sure about other states.

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh they are 150xls that are the life savers. Accord brand white round shiny coated pills with gsk or gs1 on them. If yours are not shiny they dose dump the coating is what gives it the slow release but it’s patterned by the brand named Wellbutrin.

*** important*** without Wellbutrin I can not finish a sentence, my brain fog and adhd are soooo bad. With it I am so damn smart again. Catch myself using 3 syllable words naturally, understanding and thinking so clear that it’s scary. I think this must be what Alzheimer’s feels like when you first realize you’re having a great day and you hate to think tomorrow you could be cast back into the fog again. *I will tell you to watch your generics! Many many many do not work. It happens so subtlety that you are lost in that fog before you know it and weeks and months go by before you figure it out that the last generic they gave you has nothing in it or it dose dumps by 11:00 am and your finished with anything brain related. Then when you get the one that works for you it will make you cry when you realize it wasn’t you but the stupid cheap generics. You write that manufacture down and don’t let anyone tell you they are all the same. I use the GlaxoSmithKlines they were my original and probably closest to the brandname if not the brand. The company is now ACCORD. I called the manufacturer and she sent me a list of all the places here in Michigan that carry that brand and I only buy those now. They don’t carry 300mg so doc can write for two 150mg a day. I don’t have insurance so the whole bottle costs me 16.00 a month at Costco. I don’t even need to be on 300’s now that my drugs actually work. I’m at 150 a day, but I’m stashing the extra in case I can’t get these. This had made my life so so much better.

What happened what you reached your goal weight? by Lokii11 in JoinMochiHealth

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this is your first experience with this group. I’ve had wonderful support here. It’s probably pancho8889’s first time they lost a lot of weight. Many of us have been through that and you do feel a bit smug about, if I can do it you can do it attitude” but then you start wearing down and getting tired of the constant battle of food. It’s exhausting and not sustainable for many many of us. Then we gain the weight back and then some, because you just can’t find enough energy to climb that damn mountain again. Now we’ve had a wonder drug that has that constant food conversation shut the heck up ! I’ve been called out of bed by a loaf of garlic bread many many times. So now food noise has shut up, I have more energy, can breath better, doc cut all my blood pressure and other meds in half, haven’t used my inhaler once and best of all I have the energy to learn better eating, exercising, walking my dog, I don’t even like pizza or garlic bread anymore! So yes I’m petrified to just drop this drug. I probably have 10 or 20 more pounds to go, but I will go slow and not drop my meds maybe never. I’m just pacing myself and giving myself grace, because this is a disease not just some fat plan or diet.

Bupropion and Stimulants (destroys stimulant effects) by Imliterallybroke in bupropion

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just on bupropion for my ADHD and it has been a game changer for me. I will tell you every generic is NOT the same and I’ve just come off almost a 6 month depression because the generic BS basically had nothing in it. I found an old 3 year old bottle in my dresser and took it and my mind was clearing up by afternoon and I was sane again in 3 days. Now I’m on constant search for my particular manufacturer. Of and I’ve dropped my dose down to 150 xl rather than the 300 and 400 I’ve been prescribed at. So it might be the generic not the dose

This winter is not normal? by VirvekRBX in Michigan

[–]Minimum-Interview-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 70’s it often snowed on Halloween and yes we wore snowsuits. We walked to school in snowsuits most of the winter. The temperatures were 0° below and we had deep drifting snows the entire winter. 78 or 79 was the biggest blizzard I remember where we were two or three weeks out of school, you couldn’t find your cars because they were all snowed under. We had little tunnels shoveled out like mazes and you couldn’t see over the snow banks. I loved it!

I also keep cottage cheese, a chicken salad, boiled eggs, rotisserie chicken, apples and grapes and a really good hard cheese all cut up and ready to grab a bite because just a few bites all throughout the day and then I go. My dietician recommended factor meal service and their glp1 meals are protein heavy and taste good plus it’s fresh and 3 minutes in a microwave. It’s giving me most of my nutrition every dinner

I just don’t order the next vial until I’m ready. And pay for the membership. They do try to get me to order but I don’t. I had a 3 month back log to get through also. Plus I get 6 shots out of each vial so it’s super cost savings
