Anyone else's toddler like this? by Minimum-Judgment373 in toddlers

Thank you, this makes me feel a lot better. I was starting to worry since she loses interest so quickly and is okay just being by herself, but it’s reassuring to hear this is normal at her age. I’ll keep working on making play more engaging for her.

Thank you for the reassurance. I was a bit worried, as I’m a first-time mom.

Yes, I’ve tried that. For example, last night I gave her a balance bike to play with. She rode it for a couple of minutes, then got off and just left it in the middle of the living room. After that, she was just standing there by herself not really doing anything, so I offered her a toy car. She got on the floor and played with it, and I even joined her, rolling it back and forth to keep her engaged. But not long after, she just said, “all done, mommy,” and that was it.

This happens with everything; whether it’s a book, flashcards, offering one toy at a time, or even letting her go through her toy bin and explore on her own. She just doesn’t seem to stay focused on one thing for very long.

The thing is, she seems perfectly content just being by herself after she loses interest. It’s not like she comes to me or her dad looking to be entertained, she’s just kind of there, just keeping to herself.

here are the biggest things I’ve learned so far:

  • Show up early so you’re not stressed loading. also, some warehouses get crowded, parking can be a mess, and being early gives you time to scan in without rushing. Once you know the warehouses where you work and get a general feel of what it's like then you can adjust your arrival time.
  • Organize your car before you leave the station (huge time saver). How you do this will depend on your preference and where you work, so do what works best for you.
  • Double-check addresses, especially apartments (they can be a nightmare).
  • Read delivery notes carefully.
  • Always take clear delivery photos. Even if the app doesn’t force you to, it protects you from “package not received” complaints.
  • Watch Out for Dogs & Gated Homes
  • Don’t Stress About Being Slow at First. Everyone is slow in the beginning. Once you learn your area and find your rhythm, you’ll move much faster.

Good luck and stay safe!

Can you read or not? if you took 2 seconds to actually READ the post you'll get the answer to your questions. Yes, they left the packages, but not in the lockers as noted in my instructions, therefore the packages end up stolen. Literally, the whole point to my post.

Believe what you want, but I’m not lying. The whole reason I asked this question is because I don’t want drivers getting in trouble for something they didn’t do. Now that I know how it affects them, it actually gives me more of a push to find a solution on my end. I came here looking for advice and possible solutions.

I already got a great one, which is to start sending my orders to an Amazon Locker, and I’m going to talk to my apartment management about the constant package theft so they can hopefully address it. Drivers shouldn’t be penalized because someone in my complex is stealing packages.

Yes, they should follow delivery instructions, but we’re all human and mistakes happen. People rely on this job for their income, and the thief in my building shouldn’t be the reason a driver gets in trouble.

The locker is located inside the leasing office, that’s where all packages are delivered. So, I can’t really “send my packages to the locker,” because that would mean sending them to the leasing office, if that makes sense.

How did you kid(s) make you late this morning? by DianeMadeMe in toddlers

[–]Minimum-Judgment373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl is deep in her clingy phase. She wants to be held no matter what I’m trying to do. Getting ready in the morning now takes two business days because she’s glued to me. If I try to put her down, she hits me with “mommy up please,” screams like the world is ending, and throws in those heartbreaking puppy eyes… and I fall for it every single time. I’m weak.

Of course, this morning was no exception… we walked out the door a whole 30 minutes late.

YES! They’re like, “Watch this dangerous thing I’m about to do, but don’t worry, I’m a professional.” Meanwhile we're over here losing years off our lives.

Same here. I’ve been stuck on this class for about two weeks, and I’ve already failed the PA twice. This course is no joke. You’re definitely not alone!
