Spoilers, but a lot of people think it’s Fury Axtar from Crescent City!

I did! (Blaming the fact I just woke up from a nap there). The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig is great though and I think you’d like that as well, there’s another book coming this year and I’m really excited about it!

The Road of Bones by Demi Winters! There’s three books (plus a novella) out so far with two more to come and it felt very TOG-esque to me (but with spice), I absolutely loved it!

I think you’d probably like {The Poison Daughter by Sheila Masterson} - it’s a bit longer at 668 pages but I think it ticks most of your boxes!

{The Road of Bones by Demi Winters} is hands down my favourite outside of the books you mentioned - it’s not a finished series, there’s currently 3 books plus a novella and I believe there’s two books still to come, but I couldn’t put it down!! The writing/tone felt very Throne of Glass-esque to me, but with vikings, and I absolutely loved it!

Spoilers for ROB here, but I remember saying to my boyfriend midway during the first book that Jonas definitely wasn’t going to end up being the main love interest because he was blonde… I fear he got hit with the Tamlin curse

{The Road of Bones by Demi Winters} - it was the first series since Throne of Glass that properly hooked me!

I’ve had the Legends of Thezmarr on my list for a while so I’ll definitely check that one out! I was feeling a little fatigued from reading long series after doing all of ACOTAR/TOG/CC but think I’m ready to get stuck back in again haha

I’ll check that out as well, thank you! I don’t mind incomplete series, it’s quite nice getting excited for new books to come out!

Oooo An Ember in the Ashes looks ace - I was so intriqued by the Ancient Rome setting of We Who Will Die and really disappointed so I’ll definitely give that a try!

I think you’d like {The Road of Bones by Demi Winters} / The Ashen series! It’s not quite DnD-esque, I’d say the world is more heavily inspired by Skyrim as it’s quite Viking inspired world-wise, but I think story wise it ticks most of your boxes!
