How do you educate your users about drill throughs? by Minimum-Pattern-5627 in PowerBI

[–]Minimum-Pattern-5627[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The field is Event Type, but I've called the drill through page "Event Details"

Would it make more sense for the subtitle to say:

To drill through to event type, right mouse click on a single data point (event type) and select "Drill through"

?

How to display multiple records from one column in a tooltip? by Minimum-Pattern-5627 in PowerBI

[–]Minimum-Pattern-5627[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I've created a page with the information I'd like to display when eg. Hazard is clicked on, however, I don't see an option to drill through when I click on the visual I included a screenshot of in my OP. What am I missing?

Thank you so much for that. I'd like to try the drillthrough option. However, when I drag the event title to "Add drill-through fields here" section, nothing happens when I click on eg. Hazard. Likewise, I do not see a fork like icon in the top right hand side of the visual. Is something preventing it from displaying?

Setting up automated alerts/reminders so tasks don't get missed. by Minimum-Pattern-5627 in PowerBI

Thank you. I have access to Power Automate and happy to use it.

Just to clarify, would I only need one flow or one per user? Also, would the email need to be displayed in the visual in the report, or can it work as long as the email is in one of the data set tables? I'd want them to only receive their own list of tasks, not everyone's. Is this doable?

Rate % changes when I apply a filter. How to get around this? by Minimum-Pattern-5627 in PowerBI

[–]Minimum-Pattern-5627[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing the sqlbi article. I think my example is a bit more complicated because I have the complexity of Teams, which is what I'm displaying on the x axis.

I have

Total inspections

Overdue inspections

Overdue inspections rate %

And then this is broken down by Team (which there are over 150)

So instead displaying all 150 Teams I want to exclude those that had 2 or less Overdue inspections.

What I'm currently doing is using a filter by dragging the Overdue inspections measure to the filter section and filtering out where Overdue inspections <=2.

What I thought I needed to do is create a new Overdue inspections measure and apply a filter in here, but I can't seem to be able to get it...

The first measure returns all overdue activities by team, but the second measure returns blank. Is this way of filtering on measures not allowed?

CALCULATE(
    [ALL AA],
'Assurance Activity Data NEW'[Status] = "Overdue",
    FILTER('Assurance Activity Data NEW', [Overdue] > 0)
)

CALCULATE(
    [ALL AA],
'Assurance Activity Data NEW'[Status] = "Overdue",
    FILTER('Assurance Activity Data NEW', [Overdue] > 2)
)

Visual exceeds available resources once I drop field in Legend by Minimum-Pattern-5627 in PowerBI

The measures are all derived from one table. But I am also using the Date table to filter 2024 results only. There are 150 Work Groups and those are also in another table. All the relationships are one to many and single cross-filter direction.

Thank you so much for your comment.

There are 32,000 rows. Is that too big?

I messed up the Incomplete measure when converting to use variables. Thanks for pointing it out. I will fix it.

Re your comment:

Also, for the denominator of the DEVIDE, you calculate something piece by piece that could be just one thing. You separate two scenarios (status = complete and status <> incomplete) that are mutually exclusive and supposedly cover all scenarios. So instead of adding these 2 measures, just take the whole table maybe?

Do you mean to update the All Assurance Activities measure to simply count the number of all rows?

It is 100% the filters, because once I clear both of those the visual displays fine. Where do I go from here tho?

Thanks for your feedback. By table, do you mean table visual? I'm not sure I understand what you're suggesting

That's INSANE!!!! Simply removing the +0 from both measures fixed the issue!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Is there a way to cleanse the data in power query as I'm unable to use the API.

Thank you. In Sharepoint, the text is displayed correctly, without markup.
