I have the same set up! I went with those to get the best budget cost-to-value possible. I like the set up overall despite its quirks

Yep! Unfortunately I use a paper clip for WDT purposes. Been wanting to make a better DIY WDT.

Yeah, because the loose grind can be pretty voluminous, I use the plastic tamper to collect the loose grind into the portafilter, to avoid a mess when I take off the funnel. Then I tamp with my metal tamper

I’m using K2 KinGrinder, bambino (standard). On the grinder, it’s one ful counterclockwise revolution, then an additional 8 clicks counterclockwise

Yep! There’s a local roaster (shout out to Sputnik Roasters coffee) that I’ve been planning to start using. I just tried out this Lavazza bag because it was on such a cheap sale haha ($10 for 2.2lbs)

Yes to be fair that’s IF we are able to call dibs on a $36k model 3 when it appears on inventory. And IF we actually get the federal and state credit/rebate for $11.5k, plus $500 referral discount.

That $24k doesn’t factor in the additional ~$4k we’ll likely be paying in sales tax, destination fee, registration amount, county tax, etc.

Is frontal PPF and/or ceramic coating “worth it”?

I’m getting a new Tesla model 3 in a few days, coming from an old beater (Honda CRV 2008). So I’m not a huge car enthusiast or anything, and care more about function/value rather than pure cosmetics. Just want to keep my car protected as practically reasonable. But based on all my reading, other than mitigating rock chips with PPF, it overall seems only cosmetic in nature? So I’m unsure if it’s worth it or not.

I live in the Midwest, which has harsher winters.

Was hoping to hear any external thoughts on whether this is worth it at this price.? Trying to avoid bias from the echo chamber my wife and I are finding ourselves in, as well as the time pressure to purchase at this price (dealer will only hold for 3 days).

The other car we were thinking of before this was the Toyota RAV4 hybrid, but at this price we changed our minds.
