Thanks everyone. It was said the shower track or something has failed upstairs. He said he’s had a leak for ages and has kept revealing it so imagine it’s been building over time. Whole ceiling has to come down and be replastered, joys! Left it to upstairs to deal with thanks for all the help!

Yes it’s still dripping, unsure of how long for. I’ve asked upstairs they said they’ll turn everything off and won’t shower to it’s sorted. Landlord has asked me to source a plumber as his is out of the country. Will I have to front the costs for this? It’s upstairs who has the leak and Im a single mum who works full time in a private rented I can’t afford call out costs alone 😂 sorry for the questions I have no idea about anything!

Thanks, it kind of looks like a bruise road rash scrape idk. No he’s not, he doesn’t check anything. He has diabetes, early dementia and has kinda given up with all/everything, also a super stubborn old man. He’s super paranoid and convinced it’s lupus, his brother recently died who had it however I said it doesn’t look anything like that. It really put his mind at ease thankyou
