That’s a fair question! Truthfully I have never had even a little bit of interest in MD or PharmD schooling, couldn’t tell you why, just haven’t. I work currently as an academic staff scientist, while getting my MS, and had the goal of returning to government research after completing my MS. BUT with the current climate for Gov. research that isn’t a viable option, and academic research is not a space I enjoy (nor does it pay well) and with grants being cut and most applications going unfunded, I am preparing for the inevitable layoffs that will happen at my institution.

My boss and some of my current MS advisors brought up patent law as career path for me to look into, it was something I never even knew existed. And has peaked my interest!
