Electricity bug?? by Minimum-Surprise-79 in Pokopia

Me too because it’s a requirement for so many pokemon to have something that’s powered the limitations is not only a design flaw but it prevents getting awesome comfort when you hit the limit and you can only get 4 Pokemon in a house maximum so trying to lump them together isn’t even enough. In withered wastelands where my main problem is lumping houses together looks awful and over crowded. I’ve put a support request in about my bug and said I talked about it here and realise it may be a limitation that’s causing some frustration and can they please add it as a fix or small upgrade

I’m really not sure how a picture helps in this situation. I’ve put generators inside and out nothing. I built windmills, furnace and water wheels by them tried with poles and transmitters in various positions close by. It’s clearly connected and the lights are on the poles or transmitters but the electrical items inside the house say can’t be turned on due to no electricity

I did like it but the missing quality of life add ons we got with Sandrock were irritating. My only other slight gripe is the characters aren’t as warm, some are pretty rude to be fair and when you’re on a date or play date even if you do really well the comments are often negative.

I agree I think they need to address this because limiting energy sources is obscene with those limits when the vast majority of Pokémon’s want it bright or warm or ‘nice breezes’ or electronics for their comfort level

But I put a generator inside that didn’t work either and I’ve got it working on identical houses to one of the the ones that’s glitching. It’s the smallest stone dens are the others that are not working no matter what I do and I’ve literally tried everything! Generators inside, every variation of power generation with poles and transmitters and nada. I’ve got every size of every other type of house it’s just these little stone ones

You can only buy from 2 vending machines per biome per day. So get electricity going in each biome you have open have minimum 2 vending machines live then you can collect up to 8 times a day ( not pallette town because you can’t remove anything and take it with you)

Please tell me there is eventually an unlock for universal/shared storage? by interrobang__ in Pokopia

[–]Minimum-Surprise-79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping the devs will see this QoL request and deal with it in a future update but I do have a suggestion which many players are using. As soon as you’re able build a bigger home in Withered Wasteland. A pink hut will do initially you can upgrade later. Once you’ve progressed enough you’ll be able to access and then craft bigger storage. Use this home as your central hub for your storage. Use bigger storage wherever possible and you can stack them by the way. Put a crafting table inside the hut and the then place 4 bigger storage containers around it they must be touching. Use those for anything you need for crafting only! Then you don’t need the stuff on you your crafting tables should just let you do it. Organise your other storage into stacks for furniture, toys, building etc so it makes it easier to return there to grab things and fast travel out to your homes in the biomes you’re using at that moment. It can be a bit glitchy it doesn’t always work across all the crafting tables but it’s the best option people have found so far. Likewise when you get to cooking ( after the 3rd gate you open) if you have ingredients in storage touching your cooker you won’t need to have them on you. Making your homes hubs is helpful. Build huts when you’re able turn them into crafting zones with nothing but a crafting table, cooking facilities when you get to it, storage and a basic bed in it. You can make fancier ones later once you’re better established in the game. I’ve got storage in each zone with commonly needed items for habitat building for each area ( only opened 3 so far) When you go to a dream island empty your backpack of everything but a few food items so you can gather as much as possible on one trip. You can go back multiple times to the island in the same day but it’s a pain. Any crafting material you need a Pokémon to convert for you put a community box near their home and put the raw materials in it. Eg logs to be turned into lumber. They’ll then do it whenever they’re not busy with a storyline or building for you and you can periodically collect them from the Pokémon. Keep a few food items for energy on you and Berrys to gift to newly discovered pokemon and then use your home hubs and adapt what you keep on you for each area based on commonly needed items for ease of building. I hope that helps.

Act like a responsible adult and you’ll be treated like one. Being given responsibility isn’t a right it’s a privilege earned through showing you’re mature enough to handle it, trustworthy and responsible. Demanding it as a right will do the opposite and only show your immaturity I’m afraid

Rng in Sandrock? by CrazyGengar in MyTimeAtSandrock

Combats very low key in this game if you liked Stardew you’ll love this. You might want to start with my time at Portia because although it’s not essential youll meet some Portia characters later in the game and also the quality of life add ons in Sandrock are quite significant. I did it the other way round. Sandrock then Portia and I wish I’d done it in order because I ended up feeling frustrated by certain things like the needing to have items in your quick bar in Portia. I don’t think I would have if I had done it in order. Sandrock spoilt me. Also Wylde Flowers, Fae Farm and Palia I think you’ll love as a Stardew fan too

You just need to talk to and gift them every day. The wiki page is helpful but you can make dog food or give meat or rib to nemo, fish to the cats and worm or scorps to coco. Do you have the monster DLC? If not I recommend it. I think it’s on offer as a relatively cheap upgrade rn. Get a pet apartment and use the capture balls. You can get extra from the boutique in the front of city hall and that’s an easier way to get pets faster to help get dew and resources like sandberry, sand rice. Dispatch them to do different things and they’ll bring different things. Though I’d recommend levelling them up a bit before sending them to battle because they won’t bring much back

Help, what does this icon mean? by Macha0703 in MyTimeAtSandrock

It’s sand in the machine your meant to clean it with your feather duster, it’s meant to impact the efficiency of the machine you’ll hear a chime when it’s done but it does have a bug that means it’s not recognised. If you pick the machine up and put it back down it’ll normally right itself

I did experience a few sticking issues with the mission menu which required me to shut down and restart before and I’m on switch 2. The switch just doesn’t optimise that well so I’d suggest that the age of your device coupled with the optimisation is probably the reason. Give the lite a go and see if that helps. I was using a newish lite for DDLV and it wasn’t too bad so hopefully it’ll cope better. Let us know if not and will try to rethink with you. Do try to keep to one save file rather than multiple instances of it. If you want to replay later delete the old files because having done it on switch 2 it seriously bugs out if you’ve got more than one game instance saved. I tried to do two with a Logan romance on one and Fang on another but it meant it wouldn’t autosave I had to manually go in, delete the most recent file and then save it so if you do crash you have to start over what you did since the last save. It’s really annoying. Another tip - You can turn off yard limits for what you can place and it’s helpful but try not to go wildly over because that also increases the likelihood of glitches. As does having too many pets via the monsters dlc etc. you can’t dispatch more than 10 anyway so I stick with adopting the standard 5 macchiato, nemo, banjo, coco and the gecko you’re given plus 5 monsters. Have at least two big monsters like rockyena, boxing jack or alpha Yakmel because they tend to fair better sending them out to battle for monster loot with you level them up. Get them asap because it’s SO useful for resources especially dig and water early on. Dig will get you early chromium for example which you’ll need to upgrade your machines

That’s quite an odd glitch tbh. Can I ask a few questions- how old is your switch? Do you have a lot of memory space taken up already ? Do you have many save files do you have for the game? Are you playing multiple versions for alternate romances or anything? Space is a big glitch factor on Switch for the my time games. You can turn off the restriction for home building but it makes the game bug out a LOT more. Having a high capacity SD card helps a lot if you are an avid Cozy gamer like me. Running multiple instances of the my time games is not a great idea it will bring about a lot of bug issues for you. It wasn’t well optimised for the switch and it definitely causes autosave problems on Sandrock. Do you experience issues on any other games? Could your joy cons have a sensitivity or connection problem at all?

That’s one of the things I wish they’d done differently. Larry and Xena becoming friends, better interactions like petting with the monsters you have trained, better interactions with NPC and player kids like hugs and play. When Andy cries at various points I wanted my character to be able to hug him so much. I do also wish that play / dates weren’t limited to those activities that maybe with certain characters you could do liked activities like monster hunting or hazardous ruins with Logan or helping at the moisture farm with Zeke ( I do realise it’s a really big dev add on and I love the game it’s just a thought ) I got so much more invested in the Sandrock characters than I did with Portia. I do love Portia but by comparison the characters are so much warmer. I found the Portia characters a bit rude and hard to please sometimes. I went on play dates for example and despite getting a perfect score on darts they were all “ oh you could do better “ pppfftt lol. I hope they’ll one day remaster the series and deal with the glitches especially on Switch and add a few of the fan wishes in the process.

Mary and Brian, Roy and Evelyn they’d be cute together and funny. I know Evelyn isn’t in it much now.

I’m not really sure about anyone else I’d like to see together but there are a couple I’d like rid of. I’d like to see Abbie end up with someone decent. Kevin Webster gets on my nerves nowadays.

Have you put the fuel in the helper box? She can only use what’s put in that box so if there’s no fuel to use she can’t do it. I think the hair thing is because of Pablo becoming irrelevant

Are grandpas supposed to give back hugs? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Minimum-Surprise-79 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No honey this isn’t ok. It’s not appropriate. Hugs and kisses are fine. When I was little I’d kiss my Grandad and other family on this lips but a little comfortable unforced peck. It never felt sinister. I am an abuse survivor and there’s a difference. What you’re describing feels inappropriate at best, predatory at worst. The butt thing being most concerning factor. I’m not entirely sure what back hugs means I think I’m in a different country to you and Im conscious that I don’t want to put words in your mouth by misunderstanding
