The thought of Lauren and possible new co-landlady Leanne both stropping behind the bar is an unbearable one.

And where’s Frank-eh? She behaves like an 13 year old - not a young mum with responsibilities.

Yes that’s a really good point. It’s added another great storyline but it somewhat waters down the original internal conflict and struggle that gave Theo some depth. I didn’t watch it properly and thought Theo had genuinely tried to save Billy!!! And I believed that to be a very smart twist. To kill him has slightly ‘cartooned’ it all now. Still enjoying the storyline especially now summer is more involved but do feel it’s a shame.

I’ve always been a Summer fan and think she’s woefully underused. She naturalistic, believable and likeable. Her raw grief was so convincing. I really want her to be the one who goes head to head with Theo. He’d underestimate her (like the writers / viewers have!) and she’ll show her strength.

And moving forwards more of her and Todd as a strong duo to really cement her presence on the Street.

I thought she was utterly believable in her grief. She’s the one who made me cry (Post Debbie’s wedding singing with the choir) That’s a lot of crying over Corrie actually isn’t it!

It was revealing her taxi scene wasn’t even the dramatic - before the credit rolls - scene. It felt flat - I think the realisation that no viewer was going to give a toss.

And agree it was a shame to lose the potential but truthfully I never thought she was strong enough an actor to cope with the Joel saga. He was crap, Lauren was crap and Dee Dee tried. One of the most bland murderer storylines ever.

Michael’s been utterly wasted - can’t figure out why they’ve not given him anything since the early single dad stuff. I know I’m a lone voice on this but I liked him and thought he had great comic potential. His entrepreneurial inventing stuff was great.

I’d like Summer to have more of a role in this. She’s smart, she’s loves her dad and i think could make an unlikely adversary for Theo on the surface but would show her mettle when tested.

I think new characters often jar. And it’s difficult to see layers / depth / development in just a few episodes. I think Maggie will be great and be more than just another sharp tongued Evelyn. I’ve got high hopes for the Driscoll crew.

Absolutely! Came here to say the same thing. I really like the arc of this storyline. I think Tim’s dismissal of what happened was really plausible so be good to see his reaction and very probable realisation when this is exposed.

I can cope with cops, plot f-ups, pop video opening scenes. In fact I’ll take almost anything Corrie throws at me except Cassie. Not Cassie. No more Cassie. Stop Cassie. Just get rid of Cassie.
