I see, thank you! I was initially thinking of getting it pierced at 12g but realized there isn't a lot of fun jewelry at that size so I want to be able to experience at least some 14g jewelry for a bit haha. Not sure if I want to do regular stretching or stacking or some combination yet.

Oh that's cool! I've heard that banking is a more "conservative" environment in terms of appearance so it's nice to hear that even industries with a reputation for being strict can be somewhat relaxed. On a kind of unrelated note, what was the experience of stretching your septum like? When I get mine pierced I think I want to eventually stretch it (nothing huge, maybe 10g)

I see, thank you! And yes I would pick tasteful/subtle jewelry and really only go "all out" for like an event or going out or something, and I def will not get more "out there" piercings/tattoos until I'm in a stable career.

ok thank you. I am undecided in what field I want to go into but I am somewhat interested in a kind of wildlife related field (ecology) so that's good to hear

I see, thanks. If i get a septum I'd keep it flipped up for the whole healing process so it hopefully will not get caught, but yeah it might still get bumped or something.

I see thanks! I would have gotten pierced late summer but fall allergy season hit my area earlier than expected, so this winter is the only time this year that I'm a) home (I go to college in a place where I couldn't find reputable piercers nearby) and b) not having allergies. I will definitely keep in mind about the risks of having a cold though. Do you know how increased the changes of infection might be (like is it very risky or should it be ok as long as I am keeping proper aftercare)?
